It's ugly, which I would not argue against. Yet, there's a slight chance that the raised spoiler is there for a reason -- this guy might be racing in Laguna Seca on a weekly basis and got tired of that Porsche fishtailing around the corners.
I couldn't possibly know what I'm talking about, I'm completely, absolutely and definitively out of my fucking mind.
Surveys have shown that over 96% of race car drivers will choose looking goofy and being made fun of on GFY over flying off the side of a mountain because they didn't have enough downforce on the driven wheels.
Hillclimbers probably average about 50-70mph over an entire race... that's why they need the huge spoilers to generate extra downforce.

I did some checking around on it..it is raced(semi-pro on local road tracks)...but it's also driven daily on the road. The consensus among the semiprofessional porsche racers is that it might add a little extra ground force. But the car is allready rearengined, and that this car loses regularly to other cars with much less radical wings.Basically the Porsche owners crowd thinks it's ridiculous.

Can I get an Exacamundo! Thats the only reason why any sane person would put that on a car.

The only think you've proved is that the guy doesnt know how to drive.
Regardless what those other idiots says having a fin on the back will increase the downforce to the back wheels which is where the power is. Why do you think the F1 cars have the splitters on the front and a big tail at the back?

The 911 is not an F1 car..It's rear engined. The aerodynamics are different. The people i know who race porsches are knowledgeable.
