HIP HOP or HOUSE? free hosted streams to judge

I have been debating with a friend of mine who is a hip hop dj in florida about hip hop and house music. used to be that house or dance whatever you like to call it was bigger, now with hip hop being more commercialized and more mainstream, i think its aken over. i love both, so doesn't matter to me. i love all kinds of music. check out our mixes and let me know who rocks harder! we will both be at the show and are eager to run into our old friends in the business.

You still talk to Domination?

That kid ripped off my Players Ball and stole my graphics off my site and used it for his. Then he said he was having like over 100 pornstars with their names on the tickets and promo pieces, not one pornstar knew that he did that.

The guy begs to DJ the Ball in Miami 99, then he turns around and steals my Players Ball name, logo, pics from my site and ruins the good name I've built.

I didn't think you'd be friends with a guy like that.

I like you though. All is well?

He still has my logo on his site.

At least he's not using it as his main page anymore. But still, not cool.

It's one thing to build your own brand, but to steal the brand and the logo is just not right.

Simpin'.

That machine is pretty tough to figure out. I still stick with the basics on it.

Did you ever figure it out when you had it?

yeah, i got some good resource sites that i can send you to get the laymans way to program it. if you can do one track, you can do the other 64, actually that things virtual, you can do hundreds of virtual tracks. personally, i'd put it in the closet. im using Reason, Pro-Tools, and Digidesign stuff now. All computer based and much easier and friendly.

let me know if you want some good mpc2000 links. theres still a cult following.

the only reason i say disco in the group is because as a club dj you have to play alot to people that aren't into the trance and stuff so much, and alot of my peak hour music for the clubs in san diego are disco era influenced or have embedded familiarities from certain eras of music that they are familiar with. i am a trance freak. i was a club trance dj in san diego for 3 years, but its gotten so commerciaized that we've had to put more disco flavor into our electronic music. theres a great mix that you might like alot on that page with the promo music on the website i put above. it was recorded live at a club in san diego called SEVEN. it has a great flow, lots of recognizeable influences fom lots of eras of music. its a mega mix of nrg/trance/hardhouse/commercial, has it all, check it out. otherwise, i'm gonna put up all my old trance mixes from back in the day that people keep asking for. trance seems to be coming back alot. that makes me happy.

hey vitasoy check out those hip hop mixes in the original post. i know it sucks because freakin live365 has ads here and there, but they're all original oneof a kind remixes of great hip hop songs. im gonna publish the high quality versions on the site asap, but for now, they are streamed from a third party. sucks. but heck its free.

I always tend to think people who listen both to hip hop and house/ techno don't have a high IQ.

But I am probably wrong, in fact i don't know shit about that kind of music.

the "spiritual thing" refers toa line in a famous house song.

it goes somthing like

"not everyone understands house music"
"its a spiritual thing"
"a soul thing"

its a classic house song, one of the more famous ones.

as dj, ishould kow who sings it. guess i've had a few too manyu rockstar inebriated nights to remember.

LOL
