Why Are Sponsors SImply Avoiding The 2257 Stuff IN PUblic?

they are modifying their tours, changing things behind the scenes, but very few big sponsors have made comments on the new 2257.

youd THINK they would care about THEIR AFFILIATES and the upcoming changes???

nah, i expect too much.

so why are they pussy-footing and where are the big sponsors regarding this?

Man I never thought that the gravy train would continue where any fuckstick could type a name in an online form and start making money....Even before this 2257 I figured that eventually, sponsors would hire some Indians or Chinese to pump their sites and keep all of the money.

Why pay an affiliate 35 persignup when you can pay an Indian less than 35 A DAY?

Within three years, the common "affiliate" will probably be phased out with the only ones remaining are people like DH who is big and already known.

Big sponsors either may not really care to much about the average affiliate, or they may be staying silent and working on some solution.

I did not respond as a sponsor in your thread, as I do not see myself as anywhere near a "big sponsor" yet I have been voicing our thoughts publically.

well, believe it or not, even some attorneys are confused on the new 2257 shit...maybe they are making absolutely sure before commenting? I know we're still waiting for OFFICIAL word from our attorneys. We're in compliance with all existing laws, but want our attorneys to earn their money and make sure before doing huge, sweeping changes on the new laws.

that's the responsible thing to do rather than half ass things...

Yeas, maybe more sponsors will have more in-house traffic, but they won't get rid of their affiliates for fure.

if you drive through florida and break a law that isnt a law in canada you still gettting fined, so i treat this like any other bullshit law...

They probably arent sure exactly what they are going to do yet. First of all if bush doesnt win in november asshat is history, and they havent even enforced the current 2257 regs. Second, this secondary producer stuff has already been basically invalidated (i think the sundance case?) and asshat is just throwing out more of the same here, so there is substantial reason to think that this new stuff wouldnt be supported in the courts anyway. On the other hand, nobody wants to be one of the few that might get prosecuted for this either, so i suspect they really dont quite know what to do yet.

regardless they still have to have traffic. So that would mean sponsors would have to make their own traffic.. With most of them depending a great deal on TGP traffic I don't see the end of the affiliate anytime soon. What are they going to do, make TGPs with just their own galleries? lol that would go over real well with the surfers

< soooo glad I gave up dealing in 2257 applicable content over a year or so ago...

however, my guess is that someone will file lawsuits on this quickly and get the implementation of it held up in the courts...

ACLU, privacy issues, etc will come into play eventually...

I'm not a big sponsor, .... yet. But I have resolved my problem.

I am in the process of becoming partners with a photographer I have been buying content from and who is already 2257 compliant. I'm ditching all my old content and will be using his exclusively (he has 100 times as much as I did anyway and it's ALL ultra high quality).

By doing this, I have also eliminated my biggest expense, content, which frees me up to spend much more on other aspects of the business. Look for us to launch by the first of next year.

We have a VERY UNIQUE micro-niche idea that noone else has thought of doing yet and I can promise you we will get good market share in the big tit niche.

Until then I'm just gonna hang around GFY, work on my postcount, and annoy you with posts about religion.
