50 people who could have won 9 NBA championships with Kobe Bryant, Shaq, and Jordan in their primes. ;)

But I don't think so so they will most likely win gold easily

Yes, they're all from the NBA but the U.S. has many of it's top NBA players not on this team.

The international game is EXTREMELY different from the NBA so if the U.S. doesn't win it doesn't mean it didn't have the most talented players, or that the world's best basketball players aren't in the NBA.

Apparently you don't know much either or understand the difference between an American game and a European game.

Our system is set up for show boaters...pick up games..etc. It's all flash no substance...guys taking it coast to coast and slamming it...etc.

The Europeans play defense..set up offenses no show boating...just good old fashioned basketball and following old school fundamentals.

Why do you think so many Europeans are getting drafted? Why do you think the days of ghetto ball are numbered and players are scared?

I give it 15-20 years before the American teams are much more diversified meaning a wider spectrum of races..and nationalities..tipping into european style ball..hell it may be much sooner.

Man, if you're choosing coaches based on rings alone I'm glad you're not the one picking our staff. Those are all 3 good coaches yes, but Brown and Popovich would have had just as good a shot, if not better, at winning all those championships Jackson has if they had his players.

You honestly think brown is better then jackson be honest who would you want coaching your team with the same pay?

Well if that's your opinion I'm not going to argue with you. Everyone has their own views on how a game was reffed so it's pointless to go on about that.

I find it hard to believe that the zebras could have been biased enough to have the Lakers essentially get sweeped.

Without a doubt, Brown. Hell, I'd take Brown if he were getting paid double.

I really think you'd have a hard time finding many knowledgable basketball people who would disagree also. Look, with the combos of Jordan + Pippen, and Shaq + Kobe in their primes any decent coach is going to come out with a lot of rings. This isn't a slight on Jackson either, for INTERNATIONAL play Brown was without a doubt the best choice.

I realize that :)

Arguing was just a bad word choice there, I'm enjoying this a lot actually even though we disagree.

I said they'd come out with rings, not 9 necessarily.

Jackson is a top-notch coach (especially with Winters in tow), I just don't think he's better than Brown.

Where'd you find the box score at? The places I've looked don't have it up yet.

White men can't jump, but they seem to have a wee bit of an edge when it comes to shooting and passing. :1orglaugh

This was an exhibition game.... the US crew isnt going to blow themselves out on games that dont count for shit.

Once the games start to matter the US team will rock the world of whomever steps up.

USA takes the gold ghetto ball style.
