I can recall back in Summer 94 and just a a week after Christmas there was almost a full leg of ham left still. Can remember this really well as I had the worse case of food poisoning that nearly cost me my life.
I had wrapped the leg of ham up in a wet pillowcase and could only leave it on the bench as it was too big for the small fridge.
Anyway I must not have scrapped enough ham slime off it one day while making a sandwich and spread it onto my bread like butter.. I had eaten that sandwich and about 1 hour latter I had wished I had of just not worried about the waste and just got rid of it... Really sick....
From that day and onwards I live by the saying "if in doubt, throw it out!"
