I use to teach html, and I would start the class of in notepad so they would get the basics and swicth them over wysiwyg editor.

Could not believe how many students wanted to write out the code for a simple rollover when the editor would give clean code with a few clicks.

Thank Software Gods that I don't have to write out html code for basic stuff :)

Yes I know HTML :Graucho Use it all the time. But I'd rather use a WYSIWYG editor for HTML shit, and then Notepad for PHP programming.

I live by WYSIWYG... I only know super simple tags like for adding in space. I only need the simplest of simplest of simplest html for my pages.... For my galleries I just crank them out in Thumbnailer and add in text and links and the occasional image/banner... I could care less if the code is junky or not "clean" or if the page looks like shit, which most of the time it probably does. As long as it gets traffic and sales that's all that matters!
