Christias and Anti-Semitism

I am really sick of hearing how Christians are anti-Semitic, that they all blame the Jews for killing Jesus, and that they are racist because they believe that all Jews are going to hell. We heard a lot of this BULLSHIT during the popularity of Gibson's film 'The Passion of the Christ'.

What those who put forth this argument don't seem to fully understand is that the Jewish faith and the Jewish race are two completely different things.

A person is considered a Jew if he is born into the Semitic race of people who are defined by that name. A person is also a Jew if he adopts the religious beliefs of a group of people who practice the religion known as Judaism.

It is possible for a person to be an ethnic Jew and a Christian (my adopted sister is a Jew by birth and a Christian by religion). It is also possible for a person of a different race to practice the Jewish faith and be called a Jew (Sammy Davis Jr. was an African American JEW). Both my sister and Sammy Davis Jr. are Jews, each in a different sense of the word.

When Christians say that the Jews are going to hell, they are referring to the group of people who practice the religion Judaism, and NOT to the not the group of people who make up that particular Semitic race of people. If they were referring to race, it would not be possible for an ethnic Jew to convert to Christianity.

To say a Christian is anti-Semitic for believing that religious Jews are going to hell is COMPLETELY moronic.

yet my friend everytime I see your posts you have some derogatory statement about blacks, most of which are ignored by other people of the board because they lack any kind of humor or because they have very little connection to the post you are commenting on. Most likely you think others will like you because of these comments or you just enjoy saying them without repercussion because of the "anonymisity" of the boards, but the fact as when you start doing business here if you are not trying now and people look up your posts that is all they are going to see you started as and will paint a picture of who you are and what you are all about.

In response to your latest comment which is arguably on the same line as the original post (playing devil's advocate), the mentality that you have is the one most of these blacks are complaining about. If you had a brick and motar business you would probably never hire a black unless you had to, probably do not really KNOW any black people at all and in a corporate setting you would be the guy caught on tape talking about black jelly beans......If you look at the boards as a work place like many of the more professionals here do you have ALREADY accomplished doing this. People like you are the reason they complain so if you are sick of it take the first step in ending it and save your little comments, they paint you as simple minded and very few people here are going to think you are cool because of it, may have worked in High School but not much in big boy land. BTW I get tired of hearing it even though I know it happens. Cities and businesses need people who are beat down to power them through physical and low mental labor, the best way to make sure this happens is by reducing the money used to education and also bettering communities. Like most other things in this wicked world, religion has been used by many as an excuse to justify a wrong. That doesn't mean the God behind the religion is to blame. The people who started the crusades were Christians in name only. They merely needed something to identify them as being distinct from the group they wanted to kill. Any man who claims to love God and hates his brother is a liar and the truth is not in him.

One can say the same thing about money. Money (or the love of and lust for money) has been the cause of far more atrocities than has religion. But is money itself evil?

most geneticists would beg to differ. They are a culture which is why you can be jewish without having the genetic lineage, all you have to do is pick up the stereotipical speech pattern, manurism and also the religion.

Now ethnicity and race are synonymous for most people but if jews are not a race of people also then neither are blacks. A jews liniage can be seen easily as it is displayed in physical characteristics such as their curley sheep like hair and their large noses much like african/african americans. Those traits are carried on chromosomes like any other trait of a race of man such as asian eye slant, anglo/saxon thin noses or arab skin tone. All these traits of the Jewish race are dominant and passed on to offspring, more pronounced in pure crosses (ben and jerry stiller, jason bigs) and less so in genetic crosses with other races with contradictory traits. (natalie portman, goldie hahn, rossanne arnold) They are a race of their own through genetic engineering on social/dogmatic level.....

I think we best teach what we have learned the best through contemplation and logic. If I ever make derogatory comments about any race/religion or culture it is ultra rare and in a joking or WAY more humorous mannor and not just an attempt to be negative about it an insulting way, after all if you can not laugh at yourself you can not laugh at anything. There is just no form of joy or satisfaction I would get out of posting something negative everytime I could. Big differance between any of us making a few jokes about ebonics, urban culture etc and blatant derogatory comments anytime one can loosly be conencted to a post. Most of us on the boards pay attention to race (which makes us racists....) but most of us are not bigots.
