First off , I play to win.

Secondly , lets squash this bullshit about me "fucking with gfy". I pulled a few tiny stunts , only under the conditions that the "stunts" were to expose security flaws that exist/existed in gfy. The stunts were designed in a way to MAXIMIZE exposure with MINIMAL damage, in laymans terms i was trying to teach gfy what to patch without straight out exposing the holes. Never did i expose a gfy username account details etc etc. No crashing or hitbotting or anything of the sort i have been accused of. Almost the entire selection of things i posted was in response to corruption already taking place on gfy ( with the exception of what i felt was security risks that outweighed the risk of future exposure )

Thirdly i merely asked a simple question , to this i expected something of this sort of response.

I am willing to pay $XXXXX per month for seo services in the XXXX industry.

I wasn't asking to hold your wallet or babysit your kids.

FYI i donate all my services for charity and all proceeds of my services can be payable to any (acceptable) charity of your choice. ( receipts are needed )

Do some research yourself and SEO your own site. I have a site that is for the first time spidered about 10 days ago and now listed no. 5 on Yahoo for my keywords

It ain't that hard...

Hey Guys,

Just a few hints in finding a good SEO, as there are many people who seek it but really don't know what to look for in an SEO.

But its kind of difficult to know what questions to ask to know if they really know their stuff...without knowing SEO yourself! Catch 22.

First and formost, ask for a written proposal.

- In the proposal, you want to ask them to explain what their approach to SEO is.
- How they would apply their approach to your site's/campaign.
- Ask if they can give you guaranteed organic placement. If they say yes, they are most likely charletons. No one can make those guarantees unless its the engines themselves...so that should weed out some of the fakes.
- SEO's charge differently, some charge per page they build, or per keyword they attempt to place, performance, or flat retainer. Narrow down how you are comfortable paying and then go from there.
- Most serious SEO's will not show you their stuff, for obvious reasons. No one wants to lead people to successful pages within their niche to avoid codejackers and more competition. However, you can ask for references or even noting secondary listings that should be at the top that they feel comfortable with showing you.
- Ask lots of questions so you understand exactly what their plan of attack is. If you get double talk and skirting of your specific questions, then you should likely look elsewhere.

Also, attend the SE tradeshows and see who's staying with what's going on out there. SES starts this next week...I'll be in San Jose for it. As a business owner, you too should investigate these events as well as they are also good places to find top shelf SEO's as well.

If you need any other help drop me an email:

What a good SEO does:

Optimizing your sites if you haven't already done that (no biggie). And adding links from his many content rich PR strong domains and maybe tries to get you into a few directories.

What exactly are you wanting? I normaly never do SEO for anyone else but if its for something non-competitve to my own work I may consider it, if its not a huge project that would take time away from my normal workload.

SEguru is a pussy.

The only SE trick I'm gonna pass is:

DO NOT DO WHATEVER THE FAGGOTS ARE DOING!!!

Seriously, you have no idea how much money we've got going with the SE's.

So fuck off faggots!!

You can't do more beside having lots of content and links from PR strong content rich sites. And of course a SE friendly site structure.

Google bombing, crappy doorway pages and cloaking is not the way to go and google will kick your ass sooner or later. There aren't any secret seo technics that could get you a better rank.

the term "SEO" doesnt just apply to google. And if you think google is the only engine worth going for, please, keep thinking that way

Those are the SE's worth specifically targetting.

No,but most people get the most traffic from google.Of course some other rules apply for yahoo, msn and alltheweb but it's mostly just a google mirror with different domain ranks but if you got google banned domains they'll still be there. Also the msn bot is often going crazy and really getting my server down which kinda pissed me off and made me think of excluding it.

I was saying that you are correct in your assumption that Google, Yahoo, MSN are the only SEs worth tragetting. There are no other SEs that can deliver enough traffic to make it worthwhile targetting them specifically. Though other worthwhile traffic sources include directories/linklists and pay-per-click SEs.

Dude, you're way behind the times. Yahoo has almost as many daily search queries as Google and you can expect MSN to start making major inroads into Google and Yahoo's market share in the not too distant future. The only people who are getting 90% of their SE traffic from Google are the ones that think Google is the only SE that matters.
