* Appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in U.S. history.
* Set the record for the least amount of press conferences than any president since the advent of television.
* Signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any president in U.S. history.
* Presided over the biggest energy crises in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed.
* Presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history and refused to use the national reserves as past presidents have.
* Cut healthcare benefits for war veterans.

* Dissolved more international treaties than any president in U.S. history.
* My presidency is the most secretive and unaccountable of any in U.S. history.

* First U.S. president to establish a secret shadow government.

* Failed to fulfill my pledge to get Osama Bin Laden 'dead or alive.'
* Failed to capture the anthrax killer who tried to murder the leaders of our country at the United States Capital building. After 18 months I have no leads and zero suspects.
* In the 18 months following the 9/11 attacks I have successfully prevented any public investigation into the biggest security failure in the history of the United States.
* Removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in U.S. history.
* In a little over two years created the most divided country in decades, possibly the most divided the U.S. has ever been since the Civil War.
* Entered office with the strongest economy in U.S. history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.

12 Clicks, you are an idiot. It takes you 7 months to get an MRI with a for-profit HMO. For-profit health care is a joke. You have no idea how difficult it has been the past two months to get HMO doctors to diagnose a household member. They refuse to perform more than one basic test at a time in an attempt to save money. In the end we have spent 4 times the time doing all the test we had originally requested.

If you have money, life is better. Maybe that is good news in the end because if we manage to obtain money, atleast there is a solution. There is no question HMOs suck! Insurance companies with normal doctors are getting worse too. It is harder and harder to get what you need.

I'm lucky in that I have a doctor that cares and goes out of his way to ensure I get the best possible care. Other's aren't so lucky. We pay just under a grand a month for two of us on medical insurance. Yet we have to wait to the last pill to get a script filled. And the insurance won't pay when the drugstore can't count or something else goes wrong.

Walgreens (local drug store) won't fill a script without insurance company approval. I have to throw a fit to get the drugs even with cash inhand and an open script.

Not sure you can blame all this on Bush, it started getting worse before he got to office. And he has been so busy with that war you know.

To be candid, I think the 2 party system has had its day and that's why its not working well anymore. Too many issues and you just can't neatly split them between the parties because within the parties now you have moderates, centrists, and extremists.

I'm looking for the candidate who is as close to the center as possible within the parameters of that parties traditional platform on key issues.

I love the fact that Bush is so pro business. But it doesn't distribute wealth for the middle class and I'd rather be taxed than see the middle class get squeezed.

Tom_PMs 07-30-2004 09:11 AM

Can't blame people for being too scared to be against the current president. If you're not with us, you're against us. The policy of fear works.

It's lead by example. The leader bulls ahead in the face of overwhelming sentiment. He's labled anyone with a conscience as a "flip-flopper".

So expecting hard-liners who thinks he can do no wrong to become enlightened is a waste of energy.

Only half the country votes, so the best thing is to get out and register new voters. Some are too far gone, or too bloody rich, to want change.

Sure, if you're rich with kick ass health care, you could go buy yourself a doctor and get an MRI scan today. I recommend it :thumbsup

Also, saddam did not live up to the peace agreement he signed to save himself from total destruction after the 1st gulf war. We had every right to go into iraq and be sure he didn't have them.

(of course, 10 yrs of UN fuckups has allowed them to go missing now)

did you catch the news blurb about Russia giving the US info on saddam trying to plan attacks on the US?

We do not have a two party system...we have a multiple party system. It is just that people still predominantly choose to go with the two oldest and most popular parties. Voters will decide when these two parties have "had its day"...or not.

Living as we rot,
Showered with shadows of dreams devoured.
Our souls descend into endless seas of sin.
There's no turning back.
No repenting, no remorse.
Hate stricken creation.

I realize in this world.
There is not one truth cast into stone.
Only lies cast into flames.

It's time to burn.
Burn alive.
Burn at the stake.

Our eyes crystal clear,
our bodies frozen with fear,
and there's nothing to save us now from endless suffering and solitude.
We've lost the chance to save this dying world.
So we pay the price,
of which no one can afford.

This is our last breath.
The first in a world.

I realize in this world.
There is not one truth cast into stone.
Only lies cast into flames.

I realize in this world.
There is not one truth cast into stone.
Only lies cast into flames.

I realize in this world.

My parents are Repubs. My dad is on the town council and has participated on local politics for years.

They're both voting for Kerry, and are appalled with what Bush and his cronies have done to the Republican party.

My grandma...another Republican...thinks Bush is a war criminal. She's renting a van and taking people who can't make it to vote on their own to the polls. She lives in a predominently black community, so I'm betting that these folks won't be voting for Bush either.

Bush and Co. cherry picked the info they wanted, tried to pass off info they KNEW was bad (yellowcake) as incriminating and generally just relied on a large enough % of the population being really stupid so they could get away with it.

You say dems voted for the war too. Well what the fuck else could they do? Most of them knew, or at least suspected, that Bush was totally full of shit with his 'evidence' but they don't have the access to intelligence the President does. To a certain extent they have to take his word for it, even when they're pretty sure he's a total fucking idiot.

That's why it's important to have a President with a certain amount of competence.

How does it feel to know that your idol killed 1,000 americans and countless Iraqis for nothing 12clicks?

The issue is what has he DONE for this country.

Please give one concrete thing that he has done that has improved this country since he took office. I've noticed the Republicans can never come up with anything specific, just the usual generalizations.

Just like they always call Michael Moore a liar without ever being able to say exactly what he lied about.

There'll always be enough Ronnies in this country who take their word for it.

Totally incorrect! Not only did the intelligence agencies of other nations tell Bush that there were not WsMD in Iraq, but Bush's own intellgence agencies in the lower echelons submitted reports saying the same.

But Bush was insistent that they FIND some intelligence that supported the WsMD issue, and that's why he told his advisors after 9/11 to FIND evidence supporting this theory!

EVEN the U.N. inspectors said they could find none, and even then, Bush would not wait for them to finish their inspection.
WHY would it have been harmful to allow the inspectors to finish their job??

Also, saddam did not live up to the peace agreement he signed to save himself from total destruction after the 1st gulf war. We had every right to go into iraq and be sure he didn't have them.

(of course, 10 yrs of UN fuckups has allowed them to go missing now)

did you catch the news blurb about Russia giving the US info on saddam trying to plan attacks on the US?
I'll bet not because it doesn't fit the picture the liberal media wants you to to buy into.

one of the major points i think heres is more HOW the war started now why. Sadam was a bag of shit and needed to be removed from powewr. ITs the way it was done that i question. Yes i agree the UN had there thumb up there ass in regards to sadam and the last ten years. Was Military intervention required. Probably.. just not then and to this degree. And doing it now without UN support leaves a bad taste in the mouth of the rest of the world.

I was for the removal of sadam.. but as far as the occupation and whatnot i beleave it was miss handled just my :2 cents:

Tom_PMs 07-30-2004 01:23 PM

Yep, of course it's how it was handled (whether you call it lies, or extreme incompetence).

Nukes? No credible evidence, but it was put forth in a way that insinuated STRONG evidence.

WMD? No credible evidence, was put forth as VERY strong "evidence" but revealed to be "assumed" by all parties.

Link to 9/11? No credible evidence of anything but a cursory "hello" at most.

So now we hear it was to:

Liberate the people of Iraq from a brutal dictator? Huh? No democrat or republican voted "Aye" for THAT reason!

Because hussein gassed kurds? Huh? He did THAT in the late 1980's, Hello! We could have killed hussein in 1991 desert storm if we felt so strongly about it.

But thats the latest spin being put on it. If it's not one thing, it'll be another and die hards will just toe that line.

So you see, it makes no sense to make sense when if one reason is discredited, they just move onto another "reason", no matter how unrelated.

Why then did the Israeli...French...German...British...Russian intel agencies concur that Iraq possessed WMD/WMD materials? Why then was 1441 passed by the UN Security counsel...by all 15 members? Ignore the facts all you want pothead...it does not change them.

It is now being reported that the "yellowcake" may be the only thing the intel agencies got right. Apparently the one document was a forged document but does not alter the fact that Iraq was attempting to aquire "yellowcake". Pay attention...Danny boy...you are behind the current news in this matter...or do you just choose to ignore it?

Wrong...Danny boy...the House and Senate Intel Committees have the same intel available to them as the President does...and if I recall correctly they voted to a man and woman to provide the President with the power to use our military "as he deems necessary". Educate yourself...pothead before you speak.

They have not died for nothing...they have died to achieve a mission and the mission in Iraq is an extention of the war on "terrorism". There is a big picture Danny boy...but with your very limited insight you will never see the big picture. WMD's was but a small part of the big picture. You are an ultra left wing pot smoking extremist...with a tiny amount of brain power...and that is all you are...Danny boy.
