The Secret Project.
Many of you know that boneprone is up to a "secret project" and that it is to be unleashed at the World's Largest Adult Webmaster Convention this June in LasVegas Internext..
Before I let rumors get out of hand as to what we're are engagning in, I feel it necessary to stop the spread of innacurate information and give you a brief overview of what we are creating. As many of you know, Tam has been hired as a active employee for boneprone.. She will be handling the interviews, and will guide you through your step by step process in becoming a "made" member.. We take this very serious, and have every intention in developing an Adult Webmaster Union By the end of June ready for the Convention In Vegas. Our industry's first Labor Union will engage in the protection of all Union Adult Webmasters and will become a very serious venture. We have every intention of being the first "UNION" in our industry, that will protect all webmasters in our industry from the injustices that may evolve from others in our indusrty and from politcal environmental threats. We intend to become a huge factor in our political environment engaging in the lobbest fuction at Capital Hill, and fully intend to create and organize many fund raiser organizations.. Most of this is still very hush hush as we are still activly working on establishing this force. But we have every intention of introducing the industrys very first labor UNION for adult webmasters this June at the worlds largest Adult Webmaster Convention.. Internext. ------------------ Webmaster/Owner www.boneprone.com icq: 66883099 |

Didn't I suggest something like this a month ago, and it got shot down immediately? http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/...ML/002369.html

Did Boneprone offer anything to me? Like hey wanna help with this union? Nope. ![]() I'm in the Screen Actors Guild. The third largest union on the west coast. (I'm in SAG but I made up that stat) but boneprone didn't ask for my help or even if I wanted to be part of it? Why didn't he say something to me in an email? I'm a union guy. What sort of benefits will be gained by being in this 'union'? You better get better call letters than AWU (adult webmasters union). How does N.A.W.M. sound? The National Alliance of Web Masters. Sort of borrowed from I.A.T.S.E. International Alliance Of Television and Stage Employees. Is it really possible to get EVERYONE together and set standards? More power to ya Bone. ![]() ![]() If it's bullshit, well then shame on you. ------------------ ...:::End Of Line:::... ------------------ [email protected] * uSexFan.com * LeeannOnline.com ICQ : 114683191 |

copy and past for those that don't stray far from the feild.
Anyone that would Join a Union is insane, especially in this industry. By Joining something like this you you would basically let the "UNION" decide what is right or wrong for you. Forget about that blabla site you wanted to start, the "UNION" may look wrongly or decide it gives the "UNION" a bad rep. People work on the adult internet because they want to be individuals and create there own ideas that can't be done in the real world. They want to work whatever hours they want, they want to try any new ideas that they have. The minute you let someone regulate that like a government or a "UNION" it's over. So Vote No and stop this madness ![]() Did you post this at netpond or adultnetsurprise? Id love to read the response you get there. Muff PS it will never work. why? too many individuals. |

Wow Muff! I used to think the same way but Unions don't work quite that way. lol How could I possibly know that?! I work for a realtime Union. Been trained in DC (made) and have more ongoing training to go to.
It would be entirely possible to Unionize and treat each webmaster as a seperate company that does things their own way. Contrary to popular belief Unions do NOT tell companies what they can or cannot do. They sit down and decide the human services and rights of employees TOGETHER and then set a period of time that the agreement will stand for. And then if the company decides to break that agreement the Union steps in to toe them back in to line with the agreement. In other words make 'em behave. You can't get fired for getting hurt, you get raises on a set basis etc etc etc. Without having thought about it but for a minute, I guess I wonder what benefits this would do since their is no real 'company' to sit down with. It wouldn't get anyone insurance paid, couldn't get raises, and the bottom line is who gets paid the dues. ![]() I guess it could play hob with TGP owners that want to charge and the like. As in the Union boycotts so and so. But I dunno if it'd be worth the dues. lol Speaking of which I have to get outta here and read some paperwork on some pilots in our Union that wanna stay grounded until they get their just dues. ![]() |

Ok I am a 100% union member. I am all for it and what it stands for. sure it would be harder for a union in this type of biz. But in a sense we already have it in many places.
Look at the buffet family, the bonepro family, netpond family, the GFYers and many more such families. In a sense they are a union of type. They discuss what is good and bad for them and set goals to make all of it happen. well thats enough for now as I have to go to the picket line as my local is on strike right now. got to see if I get that payraise this year or not. |

Bone, great idea. I'd love to see more when the plan is completely ready.
I think it is becoming more and more obvious that adult webmasters need a little more visibility in DC. If we don't get that then it is only a matter of time before it becomes almost impossible for the little guy to do business in the industry. We'll get regulated so hard that it would take a corp. with a team of lawyers to stay on top of things. Power to the Bone ------------------ FUCK ALL Y'ALL |

all you have to do is have union tgp's list only union galleries. and union galleries would probably get more room for advertising instead of this one banner per page bullshit.
I wish you great success evil one. |

Gemini, I agree.
Muff, find out what a UNION is first before you post. Like I said, I'm in SAG. About 80% of don't even work. So why be in a UNION? Because when we do work they take care of us. We get full dental, medical, union representation if we are mistreated. And they make sure we get paid well enough that we only need to work a couple of times per year. ![]() "People work on the adult internet because they want to be individuals and create there own ideas that can't be done in the real world. They want to work whatever hours they want, they want to try any new ideas that they have. The minute you let someone regulate that like a government or a "UNION" it's over." Yeah so? You think a union would regulate that? Where did you hear that? It truly is sad to hear you talk that way. A union can be set up anyway you want. We are the webmasters. The union is being set up by a webmaster. I think he has a pretty good idea as to what is required of webmasters to make a union more of a help and not a hinderance. And dues (like in SAG) should be based on percentage of income through union work. Example: If you post to union TGPs, and make $30k from revenue generated from those particular TGPs throughout the year. At the end of the year, you pay a small % of that 30k to the union. That way, the small guys pay what they're worth, and the big boys pay what they're worth. I would be interested to see what benifits he has in mind. Dental, health, etc... And what type of union representation he has planned. It would cost a lot of money but the more wwebmasters you get in the better. Don't take my rant personal Muff ![]() ------------------ ...:::End Of Line:::... ------------------ [email protected] * uSexFan.com * LeeannOnline.com ICQ : 114683191 |

TY Muff.
![]() Something to *really* think about each and every time a commercial plane flies overhead... those guys are being forced to fly 80-100 hrs per week. Like that idea? The unions are trying to get that down to a reasonable amount of time in the air. Everytime they call me to DC for training I wonder how many hours of sleep the guy steering up front has... Bad Union for wanting to know the pilot is properly rested isn't it? And we fly in to one of if not THE worst airport to get into or out of. Ever want to see the Washington Monument close? Fly into that central DC airport. Can't think for sure but I believe it's National. You know the one the FAA wanted to close after that plane couldn't clear the bridge? And our mighty all knowing legislators nixxed that idea cuz they didn't want to spend an extra 20 mins to get to Reagan when they leave town... |

I don't take you personally Redshoe.
But I do know what a Union stands for. As in what it is supposed to do. That was my opinion, not a full one, but part off one. Take it with a grain of salt. Ive watched two big Union strikes up here in Toronto and they have caused more harm than good, IMO. ie. Teachers Union and the Support Staff Union. So my judgement and thoughts about a Union and the way they work will be much different than yours. Muff BTW they forced the support workers back to work so little was accomplished. Except for screwing up a few hundred thousand kids school year. |

Darn Jimmy! *I* have no opinion on it whatsoever!
![]() ![]() Hmm Almost 2 months for Bone to smooth out the details and a week before they hit the net for everyone to read. Hope you get it going for them Bone. ![]() Oh and JimBob, I can't participate anyhow unless I leave the Union I work for now. lol And currently they pay ME instead of me paying dues. ![]() [This message has been edited by Gemini (edited 05-07-2001).] |

Oh I am very interested to see your ideas Bone.
![]() Doesn't hurt to get all paid 'vacations' either even though I spend 90% of that time working my tail off. But I sort of have a Kat like feeling to a degree too. lol Is this just another Bone Gag?! I'm hoping you wouldn't push the envelope quite *that* far. ![]() |
