... plus you are killing Vegans so the world will be a much less annoying place.

Props to you!

You are so wrong.

How many carbs do you have floating through you bloodstream?

Zero.

When you eat a diet that has lots of carbs your body converts carbs to sugar which then provides the energy you need.

When you eat a low carb diet your body converts stored fat to sugar which then provides the energy you need.

Your body doesn't care if it gets the energy from carbs you just ate or carbs you ate previously (stored body fat).

So it not insane once you understand how it works.

I was on Atkins and lost a fair bit of weight. It DOES work. However I quit after about 6-months because I got sick of the blandness of a low-carb diet. I have since succeeded in maintaining my reduced weight by doing 1+ hours of cardio daily.

Before you start read the book:

Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution

That way you will understand why it works and will do it right.

I try to be.........Its good for you but everyday carbs are VERY important, especially in the morning. And in my opinion that Atkins stuff is bs. I heard he himself weighs like 400 pounds so.... I dunno.

Low carb diets are bad for the body and provide only temporary results. Those that extel their virtues are in denial about what is actually happening to the body when deprived of carbs. The best choice is to workout (cardio and weight training) regularly and eat a diet high in protein, high in fruits and vegetables, mid-rangey in carbs, and low in fats and useless sugar. Of course, all that actually requires effort and discipline which people on low-carb diets typically don't have.
