REFLECTED.net Hosting is

The fuckin' best!

Well, so far they are. They just gave me my new dedidcated live show server.

These guys are very cool.

Huge thanks to Reflected for the continued support. They also supported last years Players Ball.

Soon we'll make an announcement about the return of the live D$ Show, under a new name and format. Changin' the game.

Sorry about this... our boxes don't have CD roms in them by default... the support staff has to hook one up manually but that is still inexcusable... let me know when this happened and I'll give you a service credit Tell me on ICQ at 868140

Its a Co-Location box, so it did have a CD-ROM in it, im not really too concerned about it, but if i need something critically done im going to need it done in less than 5hr.

Oh and it ended up being the wrong version of redhat, after waiting 5 hours they put in Redhat 2.1 ES instead of 3.0.

Did they ever get the right version installed for you? and how long from your original request to the finished correct install?

Im actually the one doing the install via our serial console switch, but the correct disc still hasnt been inserted, and it also took them an unordinate amount of time to even get disc 2 (of the wrong version mind you) installed yesterday. [I was a moron for assuming it was the correct version]

I know how things can happen, i work for a co-lo facility, but usually the only thing that takes hours is a data restore from tapes.

D$, will you have a co-host? Will you be working with dokk? Will KB be a regular along with your dad? If you are not working with dokk, are you planning to be part of ynotradio? Live video or just audio? There for a while, you did away with your radio chatroom. Will it be back?

What day-time will your show run?

I have heard some good shows lately, and of course, some are pretty disorganized and lousy. Ynot Bob & LAJ's show has gotten better & better. Aly, with her live video show, is excellent.

Looking forward to your return.

D$, will you have a co-host?

I'll have KB make many appearances as a co-host. But for the most part it's just me holding the camera and doing the interviews from behind the camera. I'll flip the camera in the hands of the person I interview from time to time and get my mug on video, if I'm feelin' it. I want to make it just like the D$ Show video archives but shot live. I'll cut to pre-recorded clips I'll be shooting during the week when we need to take breaks and I'll cut to some live Players Ball performances by Snoop Dogg, Xzibit and others since I own a ton of that footage and it's really entertaining for quick breaks.

Will you be working with dokk?

No. I wish Dokk all the best, we had a great run and I love that guy. This show will be more independant since it's all in my little video camera instead of a phone line patched in through a network.

Will KB be a regular along with your dad?

Of course KB will be a regular if he's in LA. My pops probably won't be since it's in video and he's in Cleveland. Once I start to do calls ins I'll have my dad on. Moe Money was always a big hit with the webmasters in person or on the show. He's definitely a super hip father with a great sense of humor. He did create KB and I.

If you are not working with dokk, are you planning to be part of ynotradio?

I respect what those guys are doing and have much love for them, but I'm not going to be a part of it. I used to do the show 100% for fun, no money involved. But with the way this industry is today, I wouldn't mind raising some sponsorships and if I did that deal with them, I'd barely get a cut of the sponsorships. We were close to doing a deal, but the money part didn't make sense.

Live video or just audio?

Both. Everything my video camera picks up, the audience will pick up. I'll be able to move about and do a virtual tour of other peoples offices if they have a wireless network. Someone will hold my laptop as my camera will be connected and we'll do tours onsite.

There for a while, you did away with your radio chatroom. Will it be back?

Hell yeah! You were the one that spoke up the most about having the chat room and I always listen to others opinions to make the show better. I admit, I was wrong on that one, chat rooms need to be a big part of the show. For a while I was sick and tired of the haters ruining shows and felt it was a distraction to good interviews. But fuck it. Bring it all on, it's more fun with an occassional hater. I'm ready to talk some shit.

What day-time will your show run?

Not sure yet. I've always liked the 1:00 pm pacific time slot. Since I'll be driving in LA traffic to broadcast on location, I'd prefer to drive outside of the rush hours. I'm looking into a day, Got any suggestions? Preferably a day that doesn't go up against another good show. I'd never do it the same time as AlyTV since she's my favorite show out there today.

I have heard some good shows lately, and of course, some are pretty disorganized and lousy.

It's the lousy shows that encourage me to get back on the air. I might not be very organized at the beginning since it's a new format, but I'll improvise with the best of them. And I do like The Ron Stewart Show, they're very well organized. And AlyTV is too. I really don't get a chance to jump into other shows lately but I've heard there's some good ones like Bob & LAJ. I like PLR too.

Ynot Bob & LAJ's show has gotten better & better. Aly, with her live video show, is excellent.

Word.

Looking forward to your return

I'm looking forward to coming back. I've done a live radio show for years without a big break. Everyone needs a little time off once in a while and I feel refreshed and focused. I'll produce a real fun show that will educate and entertain. When I left the radio thing our show was the biggest out there consistantly week after week. I look forward to having some big audiences again, makes me pumped up to see so many cool peeps tune in. I think the market is good right now for live shows.

Thanks for the support, I know you'll be tuned in and I look forward to that.

Thanks again Reflected.net. We're tweaking the new show, not quite ready yet. I'll keep everyone posted. It's going to be under a different URL and show name. I think I'll host it as Darren instead of D$ this time around. I'm all grown up now. LOL
