I have never had ice wine, but would love to try. I need to bring some to a party, in fact. I'd love to hear if people have any recommendations or favourites or anything!

I don't know enough about it to recommend anything, but I do know that I really like it... and I'm not much of a fan of wine. -

too sweet, that's all I can say about it.
it's more a desert than a drink.

This small winery makes some amazing wines. The best Ice Wine I've ever had was theirs.

The key with Ice Wines is proper food pairing. It's great with a summer fruit ice/sorbet. I'd stay away from anything too heavy like a chocolate dessert. It needs to be very, very cold and served in a sherry glass in a 2 oz portion, and sipped like a liqueur. Enjoy!

j/k Thanks though! That is good to know! I was seeing how small the bottles were and thinking "how am I gonna buy enough to feed everyone?" But if you do smaller portions, then that makes more sense.

Always loved when you popped the cork and there's sugar residue on the bottom of it.Comment

Ice wine like any wine dosent have to come from a certain region. The hotel i worked at had some great stuff. Yes BC has great wine.. so dose niagra. Just depends on the vinyard and who made it.
Just keep in mind Ice wine can be very sweet.. and a little pricey. But again like any wine.. try a few to see what you like and then go with that
