Google's Pagerank 7: In a 1.5 months

It's my real story with http://www.zongoo.com

Here's how I done it:

1. I've used PHP-Nuke http://phpnuke.org. It's dynamic content managament system. Google loves it and gives listing for Nuke-generated pages in a few weeks. I've got it, two weeks.

2. PHP-Nuke is not very good for listing all of pages, soI've used Apache's mod_rewrite module (just type mod_rewrite in my webpage and you'll find articles about it) to shorten urls (for example, page like http://www.zongoo.com/modules.php?name=Syndication was become http://www.zongoo.com/syndication.html).

3. Then I have became developer (and I'm total newbie in PHP, programmed by trial and error ), I have reprogrammed old syndication module for better results (see link for this program above) and posted news about it on PHP-Nuke website, news about it spreaded around the web.

4. Then I have searched for links to my competitors and exchanged links with them.

Results. My site launched October 15, now is december 6, Google pagerank: 7 of my first page, links to my site: 109, yesterday's Alexa ranking: 9,000. I'm ahead of similar sites. All is done in a month.

Advice: Work less, think big, make better decisions, concentrate on latest technology.

Yep - I've seen this before with PHPnuke sites. It really relates to a bug in Google's PR algo and it is only a matter of time before its resolved - a similar bug used to give a domain that redirects to a site the same PR as that site, that was fixed a couple of months ago.

BlingDaddy, you obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about. PR is the same for all industry/terms, it's just as difficult to get a high PR for a birdwatching site as for an adult site. Getting a good ranking for a search term is however very different.

Dudus... you're incorrect. The google algorythms assign page rank based on about 1200 factors, a large one being relative content. There are 112 bird watching sites and about 42 Gazillion adult pages. If you're such a genius, go buy an adult domain, work your "magic", and if you have a PR over 5 in less than 4 weeks, I'll personally send you $50.
