Before anyone concludes one or another is a liar here are a couple of "innocent 'till proven guilty" thoughts to check first. My e-mail provider recently apparently decided to declare messages I had been receiving from several addresses for a long time as spam. I logged into a webpage to see why the messages stopped on the 12th only to find that messages were still coming, it's just my address was bouncing them back. It's very possible when someone tells you they didn't receive wanted messages it's the truth. Misfiltered mail is a growing problem.
As far as one person not being able to get to a webpage that everyone else can there are a couple of explainations for this. One is that your ISP has blocked a bad IP range (spammer, hacker, virus spreader, etc) that includes the hosting for the site you can't reach. More likely is that you have downloaded one of many popular applications (especially p2p programs) that while installing made entries into your HOST file blocking supposedly undesirable sites, but often blocking stuff you want. About 6 months ago I discovered I had several hundred unwanted entries in mine. It explained why I had been seeing so many broken images and 404 pages when others could get to them. They like to target ads and porn. My thought is that it's someone who develops these programs who also has ads out there blocking competitors..Comment

I had a long talk with a non-adult customer service person today. He actually got back to me immediately and answered my questions. I was so surprised that I thought it was GONZO, pretending to be an executive customer service manager.
Customer service is lacking all over the internet. Mikey should have kept his frigging mouth shut and treated the unhappy user with the old motto....THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, regardless of who is right or wrong. But you see, Mikey has a big over-inflated ego, and he had to prove that he was right and everyone else was wrong.

Not to clutter this thread up with too much more seriousness , if anyone is having problems with sites or a lot of broken images as I was describing and think your HOST file may have been altered without your knowlege, there is a freeware called HOSTman that as the name suggests lets you manage your HOST file.

This is what I used to unblock all the entries that were in mine as a result of downloading one of the altered Kazaa programs.
You cannot edit your HOST file directly because it is in use when Windows is running, you must either know how to do it in DOS or use software like HOSTman that will easily do it for you.

I cannot beleive this thread is still going on!! I think its a new record for me!
to recap:
1) CHMOD joined a HiRise site.
2) He could not gain access to it because of his ISP
3) He tried to enter a PureCash site with same model but could not get in because its not the same site ( seperate servers, processors, prices, tours, and member databases)
4) CHMOD sends e-mail to PureCash customer service - which we never get. ( ISP problems on his end again).
5) CHMOD comes to GFY to flame PureCash
6) Confucy the stalker does her thing.
I stand by the statement that PureCash has great customer support. I have been in this business since 1996. Companies do not have the success we do by not giving top quality customer suport.
I do not hide behind keyboards and monitors. I am at every show, I am accessible by e-mail, ICQ, AIM, smoke signal and phone. If anyone needs anything, it is VERY easy to get in touch with me ( even by people who have ISP trouble)
