Are you really that fuckin stupid? What do you think they "breathe" out of the water. There's a thing called oxygen, and there is also stuff called "blood" that is enriched with oxygen and other gases. 10,000ft below the surface, the pressure is "slightly" higher and the gases do expand when the fish rises. Hence, "decompression sickness" ... and decompression chambers.

There are two way pressure sensitive animals are brought up and both of them take lots of time. "The bends" or decompression sickness actually come more from the nitrogen/oxygen mixture in your tank than just "pure" oxygen, to make a long story short the gases kinda seperate and then expand due to the pressure differance, anything coming up fast that has gas in it will be effected by this, most specimin are put in a tube and sealed and brought up very slowly so that the pressure can neutralize and not rip it apart, it is easier when it is in a tube than not because the lexan casing takes most of the pressure off the catch.
