Sherm got a new toy to drive around in!

Since I finally got around to washing the new ride, I thought I'd share it with those of you who care. It's my new 04 350-Z! I love this little fucker and for the price, it can't be beat.

The below pic is what I've done up to now as far as upgrades. I've installed a 2k watt stereo equipped with 2 Rockford Digital 1k watt amps. What you see behind the plexiglass is the exposed circuitry and the glass is etched with 2 "Z" logos. Behind the seats you'll notice the 10" Diamond Audio Mac Daddy's. If you know car audio, you know these subs pack a hell of a wallop. I've also got the mids and highs accented with Boston Accoustic 3 way's and I have a couple Boston tweets in the front.

What's next? I'll be throwing it on some 19's since any larger will fuck up the ride...I'll also most likely upgrade under the hood and bost the power up to 390 HP....We'll see.

Who else has a 350? Let's see some pics!

If you go turbo or supercharger, you almost NEED to upgrade the engine internals. The connecting rods on the 3.5L are thinner than the Honda B18. It's an engine designed for economy.

Good tips. I'll definitly have to contact you before I get anything done. I'm the type to just pay for it and have it taken care of. From what I was told, the entire upgrade with the upgrades would run around $6k...Is this correct?

But congrats nonetheless.

that was my other option. both are great cars. It sounds silly, but I ended up with the 350 because I liked the rounded rear end. I've driven both though and I'd take either any day of the week!

Awesome car!

same here, prices aren't comparable though as in the states you can get them for way less than here.

Nice ride though, good job on the audio just don't overdo it

So tell me what you plan on doing to get it up to 390 HP. You going turbo? Otherwise, I dont see how you're going to accomplish this. If you do go turbo. Say bye bye to your warranty and your engine as well in about 10k miles.

I like the car, its nice as hell. But a little sluggish for me... I test drove one hard.

Nice ride though!

Sensei...I wish I knew. He has a garage full of 57 Chevy's as well! There are some crazy people in this neighborhood. There's all types of cars and all types of people. Pretty interesting place. Far from trashy people....just all walks of life!

Ganja: It's factory upgrades with a supercharger and all of the other goodies. It's approved by Nissan and it would not void the warrenty. I was actually pitched the idea from the service manager at the dealership. http://www.nissanusa.com/content/0,,...anding,00.html

BMI: What subs would you suggest? I've had every sub in the sun from JL to Rockford to Audiobahn.... I've yet to hear a sub as tight as the Diamond Audio's. Point me in the right direction and I'll definitly switch them out. The Z hits super hard due to the hatchback design and the glass. When I purchased these subs 2 years ago for my Avalanche, they retailed for $500. Apparently they've dropped in price to the $300 range. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=12445

Thanks for the comments guys. Glad it seems as if I made a decent choice for a car.

Also BMI: Do a comparison between the Honda and the 350z. http://www.hondacars.com/models/mode... etected=True . The Z is above and beyond the S2000 in all categories. 4 cylinder in the Honda vs. the 6 in the Z. Better gas mileage on the Z. More HP on the Z. Longer warranty on the powertrain for the Z. Higher residual value. I shopped around and went head up with my friend's S2000....No contest off the line.

Good Shit, Sherm!

I was thinking about getting a Z, I love those cars! They had a convertable for sale that was totally pimped out and I was inches away from getting it. It was black with chrome effects. Definetely a nice ride.

Have fun with it and don't get killed.
