George W., Accountabilty and the $5 Million Budget ...My Opinion

It is no knew news that the current presidential admininistration has allocated $5 mllion for the research and prosecution and/or regulation of internet pornography.

For the most part we all know how to stay compliant with existing laws. Except in the case of obscentity. The obscentity law was effect prior to George W.`s presidency. Considering that during his campaign for both Governer and President his famous motto was to hold the citizens accountable. I say he should clear up this discrepancy so that we are clear about what is acceptable thereby holding ourselves accountable.

If the prosecutions weed out those who break laws that are clear such as child porn or not maintaining records according to !8 USC 2257 and such then more power to him. But it cannot be said that we had a clear view of what was legal in this concern. It is well defined. Now lets define obscentity.

Thats where they will try and pull the ignorance is no excuse but any decent attorney should be able to refute that since like you say: There IS no definition that can be held across the board. Look at what Dyanna is dealing with! Luckily those guys in Fla are defending them from the nuts in Oklahoma.
