who has done a business plan?

have you sat down and planned it all out? i know i havnt but seriously thinking about doing it.

if you have do you think its worth doing or will i be wasting my time?

Everyone should have one or at least a basic outline of thier goals. Saves a lot of steps later in the big picture.

Hmmm I may be wrong, but I think he meant a professional business plan. LIke the kind banks or investors require.

For sure for any business you should have atleast a small idea of what you're doing

I completed a draft plan a couple of days ago and am fine tuning it now. The process was very useful because it forced me to think things through in much greater detail than I do when functioning on auto-pilot. It also helped me to prioritise projects and determine the most efficient sequence of tasks. Now the next couple of years are laid-out step by step.

All I have to do is follow my plan

Well, our business plan netted us over 25k in loans, so we I'm sure fit into the "professional" business plan pool.
