6 Penalty Speeding Points and £120 fines!!

Dunno if any of you remember a couple weeks back I posted about possibly being fined. Well its now OFFICIAL. I got fucked for speeding twice in 24 hours. 6 penalty points and £120 in fines!! I don't give a shit about the money but the points fuck me up for my new more powerful car

I'm so fucking angry with myself, 21 years old, been driving since I was 17 and never pulled with the police, then this. Two speeding fines in 24 hours!!!

Looks like I don't have a choice. Insurance companies want a shit load of cash to insure me on a more powerful car. Not very many would insure me but the ones which would want a lot of money. I'm talking $8K plus!!

8K isn't that bad. I'm currently paying 5K, in Toronto it would cost 9K -10K to insure the same car... btw I got a perfect record.

Its $8k/year - it seems like a lot more than most people pay, but if you can afford it who gives a shit. Atleast you get to drive... and it is only 8k a YEAR.

CIS wanted £16k to insure me on an SLK. They were the cheapest.

I have a completely clean license.

Maybe there is a good reason for this. I mean if i got a speeding ticket once in one day, id fucking drive at crusie control 35 MPH or what ever the speed limit is till i get home. But when you go and get two in one day, maybe you are dangerous

I'm not dangerous. Passed my test first time. I am a good driver.

Me my girl and our two friends were driving 220 miles South into England to go clubbing. The first penalty I was doing 67 MPH in a 70 Zone. It was the start of road works and they said the road dropped to 50MPH but with no signs telling me. I accept the second one tho, I was doing 85 MPH when I should have been doing only 70 MPH.

Someone says only $8K?? Thats £4500 insurance. No fucking way am I paying that. Sure I could afford it easily but its the principle of the thing. If I didn't have the points then it would be $2500 only!

Holy shit batman. You're joking right?

ID how old are ya buddy? I did a quote with Norwich Union Direct for a BMW 3.30i convetible and it was only £2100. This seems very fucking expensive for an SLK. Do you like in a shitty area?

Also the £2100 was with a clean license and being only 21 years old which I am now.
