You probably wasted your money. If I had a dollar for every low budget horror film that CLAIMED to be the goriest film ever made, I'd be a rich man. If it's like all the others, it will be huge on hype and very VERY small on delivery.

I expect you to make a post on GFY in about a week telling us all how much the film SUCKED!

Was that the Rob Zombie flick? I don't recall it being that gory. It wasn't bad for a B-flick but it wasn't all that bloody.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre with this freak sawing off people's limbs with a chainsaw and some woman blew her brains out and there was blood everywhere. I couldn't sleep right again after that...

yeah its the rob zombie flick - it wasnt all that gory, but there was some situational horror to it that makes the guts turn cause its more realistic than the glorified hollywood crap

My vote: Dead Alive

A total bloodbath and, oddly enough, a comedy!

Peter Jackson's two preLOTR classics:
Bad Taste
Dead Alive

as well as:
Salo
Redneck Zombies (really cheesy and shot on a betacam but delivers the gory goods)
Evil Dead

if I ever get this script "Las Vegas Cannibal Hookers" finished and produced, it will be up there

That was actually a good movie. Remakes usually suck. I still liked the original better (an all time horror classic). But it doesn't compare to some of the bloodier films like Dead Alive or the Romero zombie films (especially Day of the Dead). Another great gore flick was Fulci's 'Zombie' (the one where the girl gets her eye spiled out by a splinter of wood).

My vote for most disturbing film ever: Blood Sucking Freaks. Not much gore but it creeped me out bigtime.

It may not be the absolute goriest, but Natural Born Killers still sticks in my mind.

House of 1000 Corpses wasn't that gory. If you notice, as soon as it gets really messy, they cut to black and white, so it's not so bad. I love that movie.

Also, anyone checking out "Dead Alive" make SURE you get the unrated version. If you get the R-rated version, you're going to hate the movie...

It was good given the fact that it was low buget! From my experience, the phrases 'low buget' and 'horror film' always conbine to produce a move which 99 times out of a 100 sucks ass. This one wasn't suck ass, mainly because the characters were so interesting (anything with Karen Black in it is usually at least above average).

I thought it was an awesome movie for the budget they had! Extremely entertaining, funny, scary, suspenseful, and creative.

BTW, there was a movie recently on cable called 'House of the Dead.'

http://www.apple.com/trailers/artisan/houseofthedead/

Avoid this movie at all costs. IT IS BY FAR THE WORST PIECE OF SHIT I HAVE EVER SEEN. No plot. The computerized special effects could have been done by my 6 year old neice. The acting was horrid. I mean this movie was REALLY BAD!

I thought it went a little over the top when the girl was in hell (or whatever place it was she was suppose to be in at the end of the film).

The death scene where Karen Black was stabbing the shit out of that girl was pretty freaky.

It was also good because it didn't have a predictable ending ..... i.e., there were no survivors.

That wasn't hell. That was her trying to get out of the house, but stumbling into the mad doctor's lair. The exit was through a tunnel and some bushes. I think that's the part you're referring to, anyway.

Check out a film called "Irreversible". It only has two scenes that are noteworthy, but they are the most realistic scenes I have ever seen in a movie.

There is a about a 10 minute anal rape scene, and the ultimate scene where a guy smashes a fag's face in with a fire extinguisher. He just keeps on hitting and hitting and the face deteriorates with every hit, until his head is just basically mush with his bottom jaw still moving.

Doesn't sound like much, but you really need to see the face smashing scene to appreciate the high quality effects.

UPDATE: I reveiced the movie today...whatched it...and the only thing I can say is...wow....there's no purpose to this movie! it's only 3 japanese guys torturing a girl for 40 minutes and the special fx aren't bad at all actually! the last scene, where they pierce the eye of the girl with a needle is PRETTY well done...there's no credit, no plot, no story ....you can't enjoy the movie unless you are really into girl being tortured and butchered....it's nasty LOL....

here's a screen cap of the eyeball scene in question:

i'd say this is the nearest thing I've seen to snuff...and I'm not planning on re-watching it soon! (I might show it to some friend though! ;) )

Absolutely one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen - the scene with the fire extinquisher and the guys skull starting to crush stayed with me for ages - truly the only scene in a movie where I actually thought I might be sick.

No to mention that during the anal rape scene he says to her something like "if you shit on me when I'm fucking you ..." just very very nasty.

Definately - the goriest film I have ever seen is John Woo's Hard Boiled - last I heard it had the Guiness record for most deaths in a feature lenght film - it was definatley screwed up.

Ever see Gaspar Noé's other film, I Stand Alone? It's not gory at all, but it's one of the most disturbing movie's I've ever seen. It's basically about a depressed Butcher who's only possession is a gun with three bullets and the whole movie is him walking around deciding what to do with those three bullets. Listening to this guy's constant internal monlogues makes this one of the most fucked up depressing movies I've ever seen.

Oh, and while I'm not a fan of the movie, I would say that Devil's Experiment is one of the goriest films ever made. There's one along the same lines I keep hearing about called August Underground that's supposed to be worse. There were two directors on it and the one's currently suing the other to keep it from being released because he feels it's too extreme.

NBDesign - I just took a look at your website. That's an awesome idea taking the ticket price of Farenheit 9/11 off of your prices.

That was an amazing movie. One I can't watch again though. The beating is severe, and very realistic looking. A very realistic tranny in that movie too. I was tricked.
**Spoiler**

It really sucks that he beat the wrong guy, It took a second viewing to pick up on that.

Yeah I saw that movie as well. It was kind of slow and boring sometimes but still very original. I really enjoyed this movie.

Is it still banned in France ?
