Nah all those photographers taking pics are a side effect of interest in the sport.. he'd be MORE pissed if they weren't there and no one knew who he was.

I wonder how a grueling race link the Tour De France affects the body. Short term and long term

they really overdo it with the gear though IMO. Aerodynamic helmets and their clothing... I doubt that really matters much... lightweight bikes would matter

These are available, but not as games to the general public. They're often used as training tools or for rehabilitation.

anyone else spot that www.thehun.com ad written?

they can't make the bikes lighter btw.. rules for that.. some even have weights on their spare bikes... and aerodynamics and all their gear has tons of affect.. it's a reason why they spend so much time in the windtunnels, positioning on the bike etc...

It's part of bicycle racing, always has been, always will be. The spectators lining the narrow streets, roads, cheering, waving flags, running along side the riders, etc is as much a part of the race as anything. All professional cyclists know this and have experience dealing with it. A bunch of people doing all that stuff all around him doesn't phase him cause he knows it's part of the race...

It may look weird to people who don't follow cycling, but the more you follow it, the more you understand all the little things like this that go hand in hand with the race...

;)
