Dolphins win Ricky Williams appeal

The Miami Dolphins Friday won their grievance against retired running back Ricky Williams, FOXSports.com has learned.
The decision, which was expected to come down next week, will rule that Williams must return $8.6 million to his former team.
According to sources within the situation $3.3 million of that return comes from bonus money with $5.3 coming as the result of other monies.
Williams suddenly retired from the Dolphins shortly before the start of the season, leaving Miami with a difficult situation.
Miami officials have been mum from the start while Williams had publicly admitted to not only having smoked marijuana but covering it up as well. His contract also contained a unique clause that clearly stated if he were not show up to the team he would not only have to return bonus money but salary as well.
It is unclear when or if this will be announced by the Dolphins.
