Privacy: feel youself protected enough?

Just an interesting article:
Protecting your life and property is pretty important, but many of us do not take even the most basic steps to protect ourselves. Being in the adult business, we're more susceptible and visible than the average person, and should be doing more than the average person to protect ourselves. Here are some things you can do to help ensure that you're not woken up by a jealous boyfriend who just found out that his girlfriend did porn, or from someone taking your social security number and buying a new Porsche with your name on the loan documents.Full Story

Run a legitimate, legal business and it should all be beside the point.

I would hope one would form a corporation for tax purposes, rather than to hide. And if you're going with a sole proprietorship or a partnership, it still makes sense to have a PO Box and a seperate bank account. Protection of privacy is a side-benefit.

I'm disgusted by the suggestion that we should hide our identity based solely on the business we're in. This is not illegal, nor is it immoral. The idea that we should slink about like cockroaches is very offensive to me.
