I'm going to Spain in 1 month, planning to stay 1 year (learning spanish of course, at the University). How about taxes if you have a student residency in Spain?

I was born and raised in Poland, now live in PA, traveled all over Europe and I would have to say that Spain is my pick. Beer cheaper than coke, beautiful women and beaches.:thumbsup

Mmm.. all of Europe is a high tax regime. Spain is a "has been" that ended in the 80's. Tho there is at least some culture all over...

PS.. This depends on your background/circumstances - but reckon it's best to be "located" in any decent low tax regime and if you want to live in Europe - do so as a tourist and no taxes are due. You also have the freedom to wander all over Europe (again, depending on your citizenship/circumstances)...
