Well, no, because the injury looks too large for that. The injury looks like someone smashed the snake with something and ruptured it or maybe a cat ripped into it. We rented a house about 5 years ago that had a pregnant black widow in the garage, my uncle wanted to keep it as a pet and put it in a cage with a screen top...she had her babies and they all fit through the screen!
