Well, no, because the injury looks too large for that. The injury looks like someone smashed the snake with something and ruptured it or maybe a cat ripped into it. Black widows are very venemous, but their mouths aren't large enough to case damage like that. That spot is torn, and it's as long as the spider's body.
Just when I thought my fear of spiders was subsiding...
*cries*
We rented a house about 5 years ago that had a pregnant black widow in the garage, my uncle wanted to keep it as a pet and put it in a cage with a screen top...she had her babies and they all fit through the screen!
Thankfully he was there to see it and killed them all *shivers*

One of those fuckers got me about 25 years ago, got a very large scare on my leg larger than quarter. Took over a month and 1/2 to heal, they were getting ready 2 cut the ulcer out and draft skin.

those are some bad ass spiders.
Took about 6 weeks for the bite I had by one on my ankle to heal too. If I lowered my leg it throbbed something terrible and I was pressing a grape size blob of pus out of it several times a day for a while there. Until I could lower it I got around the house by maneuvering a chair with my knee resting on it.
