I can't, and I doubt I promote them do to them doing it at the time. I also did not sign up under Aaronm's sig or Sleazydreams. I just wonder how successful some of the big flash spending really is.

two of the companies were silver cash and ADS (from ARS). hardly nobodies in this industry. just because you have a piss-poor memory doesn't mean the literally thousands of other webmasters surfing this board do as well.

and just because you didn't click sleazy's sig doesn't mean a few of the several thousand other webmasters didn't either.

it amazes me how some people have no clue how advertising works and what the possibilities of revenue are from said advertising.

don't you guys pay taxes..the $25k is deductable

SS396chevelleSS 07-17-2004 02:58 AM

the biggest problem here is the fact that they are paying so much for such a popular board.... why is this board so popular? SURFERS

This is a good investment for Adultplayersclub. I would explain why, but if you cant figure that out, then I'd just rather leave you clueless.

BossHawg invested millions at APC (check the members areas and you'll see what I mean), so $25k to get the word out is reasonable.

a long lasting pinned thread might have been better for quality views.

But then again if they're making it back, it's allways good to throw money out there to make yourself known.

Well, you've got a long thread right here. You've got EVERYONE posting about it; plus their banner regularly appearing in everyone's signature. There will probably be talk about it all week... and if I had any traffic, I know I'd be pushing their program. The Hawgs have a definite knack for making the bucks.

KDizzla 07-17-2004 03:31 AM

It well worth the 25k.

It amazes me that some of you have no clue as to ROI. Not all advertising is worth the money spent.

There is no way in hell that the ROI comes back on this expenditure. They are willing to lose money on this spend because they can get a jump quickly.

Awesome conversions will drag in more webmasters quickly. Look at anything Bang Bros does.

Well said.

I am wondering if those with normal banner spots get a discount when this stuff goes on? I'd hope they would, because with all this extra advertising it is no way their banners will be as successful.

But without the advertiseing the webmasters would not know about the program and its great conversions:2 cents:

I don't know about that. My best converters came to me from word of mouth.

you honestly think APC won't make a ROI on this? you think they're going to lose money on this? besides, ROI isn't the only thing coming into question here. branding is a big part of it. look how many threads there are about APC. it's on the tip of everyone's tongue.

remind me never to do business with you as you have absolutely no business sense.

why do you think companies pay millions of dollars to flash their ads during the super bowl? they just like to throw away their money?
