I second that! I have never experienced a tornado or a hurricane, and the thought of either one of thode makes me want to crap my pants.

I get scared with a minor thunderstorm and one hail ball!

That sucks, I hope they are wrong and if they are right I hope it is less powerful than they are predicting!

Vitasoy 07-15-2004 10:53 PM

This isn't news, their have been several articles stating theirs going to be a big one hitting the west coast... 2 months? How can you predict such a thing with in such a small time frame... I guess anything can happen.

Even if you can predict an earthquake, how much protection would that really afford?
Well, if you drove to Phoenix, then the earthquake hits LA... I guess being forwarned would be quite useful, no?

1993 Jan 17th...was fucked....that was the last one I remember as being a mother fucker, my Insomnia Cafe Coffee house was wrecked...on Ventura Blvd Sherman Oaks, right in the middle of the hit zone, did not like that.

Got some great pics of the national guard patroling the streets, then, will scan and load them up... M16's and hummers cruisin Ventura Blvd, it was creepy...no power and buildings on fire...

I'd rather be hit by a Hurricane. You can see them coming over a week ahead of time. But I grew up in Coastal NC, so I guess it's how you're raised.

Anyone else find it suspicious that this scientist finds this new earthquake prediction technique right in time to detect the biggest EQ ever to hit LA? I'm not saying it's not possible, just a little too convienant.
