Transfer A Domain Name That Has Just Expired?

somebody just made a post about some new shit that Netsol is up to so i figured i'd go look at my account - i see a decent domain name I own just expired a few days ago - i don't want to give them any money, can I transfer the domain even though it's expired? domain has some value so i don't wanna get caught up in their shenanigans.

    thanks
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

you can push it to another account if you wanted to sell it. i know godaddy doesnt let you transfer if ites less than 2 months.

but domainsite and namecheap let you push doesnt matter how new

No, you'd need to renew it with them and then transfer it to another registrar.

      Otherwise it's gone.

Not if it's expired, they won't let you touch it unless you renew it.

Might be worth it, depending on the name of course..

Back when i still had domains with netsol they held them ransom. I asked to transfer registrars 2 months before they expired and didn't send me an email that they couldnt' do it until after expiration. Fucking extortionists.

                thanks
                No you can't.
The domain must be paid for in full at 60 days and most often 90 days in advance of registrar changes.

Been through this a MILLION TIMES ...still trying to get SexEducation.com over to iSever.com/Verio and have been unsuccessful on every attempt.

In fact - it took like six months of arguing that NOW THAT THERE IS NEW REGISTRARS I want to transfer all to one place. And finally - iServer managed to get some of the other domains I registered transferred over. But the registars didn't expect this type of request to happen within a few weeks of the monopoly ending.
