For 2 days he has said the future of America depends on getting this amendment passed. He just repeated that the future of America hangs in the balance. Sorry folks, America will come to an end at 12PM ET.

He also just repeated for the dozenth time that this is about the right for children to have a mommy and a daddy. WTF? Are they really THAT desperate? Can't they come up with some real facts?

Yeah it's pretty sad to see these people so deceived or being so deceptive, whatever the case.
I respect someone arguing passionately for their position, but I find it nearly impossible to believe that some of these senators actually believe what they've been saying.

If this thing actually goes through, think of all the wasted time and money over the next however many years it'll take to repeal it. I would think the country has more important things to worry about right now.

I think all they are voting for is to whether or not to even have a vote on it.

A lot of the Democrat senators really don't want to touch this thing now because they would have to show their cards before election time.

Yeah, they could vote Yes to continue the debate about it, or No to drop it entirely. I hope they vote No because this is clearly not an issue that is top-of-mind for the american people.
It's only brought up if someone asks. Thats not a sign of importance, lol..

What about all the single parents then?

This is yet another attempt by politicians to make an issue become a children's issue. They figure that people are more likely to pay more attention to issues which affect their children.

The current issue of Mad Magazine has the best explanation why people are up in arms over the gay marriage issue.

Also, the world has come to an end already. Evidence: Porsche makes a SUV, and it is their biggest seller.
