Okay, I posted a thread a few weeks ago about how Ifriends "fired" me.

Well, they said they would pay me my remaining balance (which is only $40) and that my account is closed!!

HOWEVER, that was THREE WEEKS AGO! No check! And my account says it is "Tempoarily on Hold until matters on the account are resolved".

So, I emailed them about 15 times to THREE different Ifriends email accounts AND called their number and left about 10 voice messages..they STILL havent gotton back to me!

Is this FRUAD??? Is there anything I can do?

Perhaps ypu should pick and choose your battles. It's not that much money, but you probably showed a lot of skin for that $40.00.

And 40 bucks is 40 bucks. Is it worth it to you to put up with the headache and bullshit that you will have to go thru to get that money?

On the other hand, it is money that you worked for. And that you deserve.

What I would do, and have done, is call the BBB The Better Business Bureau, they will help you get money that is owed to you, but be ready to fill out a lot of paperwork.

I forget which it is the BBB or another agency. But I remember calling the BBB, if it wasn't them they will help you contact the right agency.

What I had to do on one accasion was call the BBB, then call my former employer to tell him that I had contacted the BBB, that did the trick, I was paid the next day.

The second time (different employer) I called the BBB, then they sent out paperwork, which I didn't fill out. (I'll explain why later) What they were going to do was investigate the company. A full on investigation, just like an audit. They would go in, get all his forms, cause this huge headache for him, investigate his business, and find out how many other employees he has fucked.

There is a law that says something like your employer has to pay you within one week of dismissal, you are entitled one full days salary for and for each day that passes that you are not paid, up until 30 days. (or something like that - it's been a while)

Understand?
Basically for each day that goes by that you are not paid, you are entitled to a full days pay, but that has a cap of 30 days. It sounds like you will probably hit that cap. So not only will he owe you 40.00 but a full month's salary as well.

Damn, this is getting long...

Also, they over charge...and one of my very good customers stopped going on Ifriends because of the scam. Maybe I will share that info as well.

redshoe, whoever you talked to at the BBB the second time was full of shit. They don't have the authority to do squat!

Okay, I found the BBB online. They handle complaints from Online Employers. So, I just spent the last 30 mins filling shit out and I have a copy of it too.

Ok, So I fucked up. Iw as mistaken, but that's been sorted out. It wasn't the BBB that helped me. But that's who I called, they in turn referred me to the Labor Board.

The Labor Board was who I meant.

Hope that clears things up a bit.

When I emailed Ifiends, I told them that I was trying to get my $40 PLUS about $500 extra dollars from them. They immediatly said they would send out a check (i think for the $40).

I'm still pursing them for extra money, but wanted to obtain my $40 they originally owed first so I dont get completly fucked!
