They didn't believe her status was changing, she was simply under observation waiting for another checkup a few hours after the first. I've been here at the office calling family and making arrangements to take care of our daughter for the next 24+ hours and I'm just about done with that so I can go to the hospital. She was still waiting to have a chat with her regular doctor to find out what is next, which should be soon.
I'm not here because I want to be and won't be here but for a few more minutes. The hospital and my office are about 5 minutes away from one another. Brad |
my prayer is with you, I know through God's grace you'll wife will giveing birth safely with a cute little angels :)
just give your faith to Him :thumbsup |
If the babies are not under stress, they will most likely give her meds to stop the premature labour. She will most likely be hospitalized for surveillance purposes and keep her bedridden until she's 37-38 weeks. I hope all goes well & I'm definitely praying for the three! Good luck & God Bless!

i heard that babies born on the 7th month (around 30-31 weeks) have a much higher rate of being all good and healthy than those born around 33-35 weeks.
personally, i didn't come out for a whole 10 months and i dont think i'm any healthier than i would've been if i got outta there on time. |
Good luck man! I hope they come through healthy!
|
I believe that everything will be ok. I wish the best luck to your wife and twins.

Here's thoughts and prayers to you Brad, the twins and Melissa! |
Thanks everyone for thinking about us... seems to be working!
Melissa is stable in the hospital, not dialating any more and the contractions are light. They're keeping her for two days but if all goes well she'll be home after that (and on bedrest) and we can hopefully keep them in there for a few more weeks. Big Smiles! Brad |

Good luck guys, the docs can do wonders these days!
When she comes home make sure she stays on full bedrest (I was a nightmare wanting to be up and doing things), I had 3 long, boring weeks of it and then my son was delivered at 36 weeks a whopping 9lbs 3oz :winkwink: |
don't let those doctors scare you Brad. they have to say the shitty stuff in the spirit of full disclosure. it will all be fine.
twins come early. my little princess was born at 27 weeks. she's 17 now and doing great. just keep the hope. :thumbsup |
I'll have a word with the big guy upstairs for you and your family :thumbsup
|
Damn, I just saw this thread.
Mishi and I both send all the best wishes to you and the family, Brad, and we're very relieved to see that things are looking up. Keep us posted and know that you are all in our thoughts. And ... we better be seeing some baby pics when they're born! You and Melissa have proven you make damned cute kids. :) |
Best wishes to you and the family.
|
may the deity of your choice bless your family
|
Thanks for keeping us updated Brad, I know you have more important things to worry about. It's good to hear that the docs have it handled :thumbsup
|
Looks like she's totally stable but they're going to keep her for two more nights at the hospital, I think. I have to figure out now how I'm going to arrange care at the house for her and Elizabeth since she's on total bedrest until they're born. Lots of decisions to make!
Thanks again everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers, seems to have worked this time around! :thumbsup Brad |
wow...good to hear things are improving, must be a very stressful time for you.
Best wishes and thoughts your way. |

Got some very bad news this morning. They had found a small hole in one of her heart chambers a couple months ago and finally we're about 4 diagnostic tests into it today when they did a transesophogeal echocardiogram to get a more accurate picture. Nothing is certain yet, we're going to get a second opinion and consult again with the cardiologist and her OB but the heart doctor said that Melissa will need to have open heart surgery to fix it, that they can't go in through a vein to make the repair because of the defect's location. We don't know enough to know whether or not they are going to want to do this before or after the birth.. I'm just praying that this might not be necessary at all although the way he explained it this morning the congenital defect (from birth) must be repaired. We're not jumping to any conclusions, we have a lot more information to get and confirm with other professionals. (sigh)
:sadcrying Brad |
Brad,
So sorry to hear that. But, try to keep your spirits up, and your wife's. I know a few people who have had open heart surgery, and they came through very well, and are healthy. Docs are amazing these days! Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. |
i will pray for you, good luck dude im sure it will be fine
|
Ohmy.
Brad, I'm keeping you and Melissa and the babies in my thoughts. I hope for the best for you in everything. http://www.freakmanor.com/smilies/hug2.gif |
Hi Brad...
Our prayers are with you the babies and melissal.. hope she will be okay |
Hey Brad,
Best of luck, for you and especially your wife. Keep us posted. |
Everyday counts at this point every 24 hours is another blessing.
|
Damn, Brad :( I know she and the babies will get the best care you can get for them and you have lots of love and good wishes from us!
|
my prayers are with your family
|
I will keep you all in my prayers
just remember twins usually come early and babies can survive outside the womb form as early as 24 weeks old - so 30 is okay The fact that Melissa has had the heart defect form brith is kinda reassuring - she's come this far with it - so she's a trooper! I know you'll all pull thru lot of love!!! :thumbsup |
