Designers must be having golden times.

With the "reality" tours that everybody wants to have lately.
Make a template (worth 200 bucks normally) copy and paste it 15 times (5 times on each page) et voila, sell your design as a 3 page tour for 1500 bucks.

What a fucking joke.

Basically I don't think a designer can become that rich being a designer. Otherwise, just become one.

Why is it everybody is always hating on the designers? Nobody bitches out affiliate programs for copying and pasting paysite systems, cloning out to thousands of users at $30 each and becoming filthy rich, they're usually viewed as pimps. Or Ford figures out a way to sell the EXACT SAME CAR to thousands, oh he's a fucking genius, but designers are evil for trying to make a living.

It's not exactly roofing or plumbing ... I sit on my ass all day designing porn sites. But easy? I wouldn't go that far.

Battuss, funny that you have to sell somebody else's body looks to make a living, if porn is only what you do.

I think so as well...but then again, this is only my opinion...I feel that it's only the bigger, more established designers that do better for themselves. The rest are just begging for any chance of designing they can get.

Good designers dont have to beg for work. They have to refuse work.

being a real designer needs more dedication and skills contradicts to most other people think.. you have to like what you do and know what the client really wants..

lol. I believe you redesigned Dougs CE tour back in mid-late 1997. It was the long version similar to what is popular now.

kind of funny how trends change.

The adult design industry is on anything but golden times!

It's getting harder and harder to make a buck these days due to mentalities like Battus and the cheap foreign labor.

We are finding our niche buildng something other than tours, and hopefully will be launching full product offering within the next few months.

Be on the lookout for the next generation of adult design company!

sad part is there are people who cater to those mentalities.

of course it's easy for them... just "borrow" the ideas/concepts/techniques they no hand in establishing (direct rips are always an option too), and run with it... viola 500 design companies each with lower prices than the next... some with 5 sites in their portfolio... some with 500... all looking exactly the same.
