Can someone American explain to me why Bush thinks he is above your Democratic rights

No, he's trying to ABUSE the rules that state that the election can be postponed indefinitely in the case of a national emergency.

However, IMHO, removing Bush is the national emergency.

(a) Because the current Admin are little more than crooks who lie daily and change their "slant" to suit any new revelations.

They have lied to the US people and the world - there is no grey area - the "knew" damned well they lied. There is no need for any congressional enquiry to know this.

How can *anyone* anounce, specifically, to their own nation that another nation (Iraq) has un-manned aircraft designed to attack their neighbors and have plans to attack the US when this was blatantly untrue? This is like the WMD is "specific" stuff - where the fuck are they and where did this bullshit come from?

(b) The word "democracy" has no association with Bush - it's a word to misuse along with "compassionate Conservative" and all the other "terms" designed to mislead.

This is above all political considerations - it's criminal.

Any country needs leaders with some moral fibre and with a vision to take their country forward for the benefit of all citizens - not some half-baked arrogant scum who cannot acknowlege even the simplest of errors and conduct the business of government in a cloak of secrecy within a "crime club".

This is not a democracy in any language - democracies are transparent and accountable and adhere to the treaties and principles previous Presidents have worked hard to achieve.

This is a rogue regime.
