Unless there is a precedant case, no one can give you an answer in confidence.
Will the government go looking for stuff like that? Probably not.
If you piss someone off, and they want you ass, it will be enough to make your life hell, though.

Do you think a lawyer will give an opinion on an issue like this for $100?
How many statutes could possibly come in to play? 100's. Easilly.
And the issue is not really whether you are breaking the law. It is what happens if you get charged, and the time interval until you are acquitted (hopefully).
The war on drugs (and the constitution) is very ugly. A lot of guilty until proven innocent. Seize computers for evidence, ban you from the internet...
The move to Canada idea is the right one!
