boards are very addicting, i try not to come to GFY too much during the daytime - late night is the best.

i noticed i was down to 10 posts a day a few months ago - then i checked again when i realized i was over 10K and my average had gone up 33% to 15 posts a day. i think i got bored with gfy for awhile, then got interested again. i know i get a fair number of icq messages every day with people posting links to gfy threads.

Are BBSes a gateway drug? 'Cause I started with those in...um...1982? Anyway, I quit cold turkey a couple of years later, and didn't even touch a computer until about ten years after that...the web was in its infancy, but I still managed to cop a daily buzz off my old buddy, CompuServe. Not every day. Just, you know, whenever I felt like it. It was no big deal.

And, yeah, there are a few boards I read every day. Sometimes even a few times a day. But hey, they're not all adult. Some even have politics and stuff. It's no big deal. I mean, I can quit whenever I want. I just don't want to, ya know?

I get addicted once I get started... I try to wait to start looking at 'em until i get the bulk of my daily workload done 'cas the boards make it too easy to blow off "Thinking work"
