KRL, you need to either join the Bush administration or get your ass to Iraq and fight yourself.

Your pro-war posts are slowly driving all of us insane.

all this shit for nothing .... that's the problem when PARANOIA SETS IN ...

Bush: I will defend America

"We had a choice to make: Either take the word of a madman, or take action to defend America. Faced with that choice, I will defend America every time."

"Because we acted, its dictator is now in a prison cell, and will receive the justice he denied so many for so long," Bush added.

The United States was "right to go into Iraq. America is safer today because we did. We removed a declared enemy of America, who had the capability of producing weapons of mass destruction, and could have passed that capability to terrorists bent on acquiring them."

So it turns out that the madman(Saddam) was telling the truth and the Bush admin was lying...

America is definately not safer as now there are a lot more angry people(who have just lost innocent children and relatives because of Bush's actions)willing to do whatever to seek revenge.

The rest of the world sees the Americans as a Bully(almost rogue) nation that acts with total disregard.

Yah it looks like the Americans definately took the word of a madman(BUSH)

It's obviouse that you do not have have any children(soldiers) being sent to thier death to establish control over oil and generating war revenue.

It's people like you that don't know the value of life and frankly I wish you are drafted into the war so you can secure some oil
The cost of a human life is about 2 cents, that being about what it costs you in effort to take one.

This bullshit about human life having an inherent value is because you value your OWN life and assume by extension that other people should as well, and vice versa.

There are places in this world where teen girls offer themselves to you for a coca-cola, and places where human life is worth less than a cow, or a $20 piece of machinery. It's all relative, and if you think that your government puts as much value on your life as you do, you are sadly mistaken.

Yeah, but what the Americans don't like to admit is that a lot of the world has ALWAYS seen them as unjustifiably arrogant and acting with total disregard for due process and common courtesy.

Me, I don't think they can help it, it's a self-perpetuating mythos they believe in of being the best at everything that they collectively don't have the strength to admit is a fake. Sad, because either it will one day crumble when reality can't be ignored anymore, or the desperate lengths they'll need to go to to maintain it will become even more frightening to the rest of the world.

Obviously I value my life more than any Gov. does(or any one else for that matter) My point was to KRL for defending a Gov. that was willing to risk it's citizens lives for such a BS case.

Now go back to plowing your fields(typical Albertan)

Not pro-war, just pro-business and continued control of the world by the United States.

Thousands of life? Unfortunately yes that's the price tag. It sucks. But that's just the way it is.

And that's nothing compared to the 55,000 people who die everyday because of malnutrition and hunger, 35,000 of which are children. Why don't you go bitch about that staggering tragedy too.

Let's assume you have an 18 year old son...would you send him to Iraq for the sake of strengthening the U.S. economy?

Think long and hard about that one. Remember, he may not return.

Hello you pro war idiots, even your government is slowly waking up, when are you?

What more do you need? A final word from Bush? You need to hear Bush saying it was a mistake before you get the clue?
Now that you clueless liberals have jerked yourselves off over this for a couple weeks, can you supply a link to this so called admission?

one liberal congressman spouting off is not "congress"

The United States is beginning the democratization of the middle east, establishing an enormous CIA/NSA operations center and listening post smack in the middle of all the Islamic extremist countries, establishing firm control over the 2nd largest oil reserves in the world, and generating enormous war revenues for the US economy.

Im with you on this one

Interesting I read an article a while back which was stating that the reason for the Iraqi war and what you posted above KRL had a lot to do with the fact that quite a lot of countries were changing their Federal Bank Reserve currency from the dollar to the euro (which gave me the impression it would seriously fuck up the US economy big time)

So am I way off the mark when I ask if this democratization of the middle east by the United States to establishing firm control over the 2nd largest oil reserves in the world is a serious attempt by the US to prevent their economy being royally fucked because of the amount of countries changing their Federal Bank Reserve from the dollar to the euro ?

And when I said democratizing that also brings along westernizing the middle east to counter the spread of Islam.

Going to bring in lots of western culture to the young kids over there now so they'll want the lifestyles like here and not like there.
SO in theory you 'could' argue that the US is infact waging a war on Islam ?

Hmm, that's a tough one. If "radical" islam is waging a war against the US, then what is the US govt doing? My guess is they're fighting back ... what do YOU think?

I'm simply asking a question I have no real opinion on the matter at this present time.

I'd hate to be an Americian living outside the US because your a target for terrorists, plain and simple. I'm not bashing you guys here, really I think its a sad state of affairs because this 'War on terrorism' was 'supposed' to make you guys safer when infact the exact opposite has occured. Like KRL posted above, its all just a big cover for the bigger picture but it doesn't change the fact that US citiziens are now less safe around the globe because of this so called 'War on terrorism'
