Let me just make this QUITE clear, my intent is not to bust ANYONE's balls about their marketing tactics, I have pulled some pretty crazy things over the years myself..... and if this banner makes them money, then MORE POWER TO THEM!!!! My place isn't to bust any balls at all...... I was just stating what happened to ME with it......

99.9% of the time, my volume is on mute and I don't listen to anything when I am working either....... and I don't think it would have bothered me at ALL even had I been expecting it....

So please don't think I am jumping on the bandwagon of the haters here, I am NOT...... I was merely speaking about my own experience with this banner........ if they want to have it there then this is purely their right to do so.... plain and simple. I just know to expect it and will be more careful and turn my sounds back down after listening to something else is all.

I just wanted to clear this up because I have a feeling that some are thinking I am on this bandwagon and I am certainly NOT!!! If it works for you and makes you money, then you run with it..... Just know MY ass will not be hearing it again....... I have been warned. What happened in MY situation was my own damn fault..... bottom line! LMAO

I PERSONALLY don't like it..... not for my own benefit, but I am sure a lot of people don't like some of the shit I have pulled over the years either, or thought I was out of my damn mind. Take for example, my emails for Rude Bitch.... I had people make legal threats to me and even have their lawyers contacting me about those emails...... so I am well aware at how things that are so innocent can get so out of hand and be taken wrong, probably more so than anyone.

BUT, if this is what makes them money, then they have this right to do so, I don't have to like it, and neither does anyone else, if it works for them, then it does and they should leave it.

I am a firm believer in "thinking out of the box" and NOT going with the grain, and that's what they have done with this...... when you have to compete with others on advertising on the same area of the world, then you do what you have to do to draw the attention away and to yourself..... and they VERY successfully have done this here.

I just know for ME, I will have my sounds way down when I refresh pages here... but I don't expect or WANT them to remove it just because I had a mishap with it.

I think a big part of the whole audio banner campaigns is that they seem to cause people to make threads about them. Usually several a day. That is better publicity than anything.

I think the banner looks nice BUT I Think it really sucks cause I know when I hit it without wanting to and my kids are around it freakes me out hehe BUT It isnt my place to say take it down If it is working for signups to your program then great... I think it pissess off most people that don't make enough money anyways and or if they are at their real job haha just my

EXACTLY... so they have done more than their job on this..... and anyone NOT wanting to do business with them because of that banner... well, that's their right as well and chances are, they PROBABLY weren't going to do business with her anyway..... LOL

Her loyals are going to stick with her no matter what, and the ones that WANT to do business with her are going to do so in spite of any banner.... so I really don't see this as losing her any business really, BUT the threads about it are definitely keeping her name up there.... and to this I say BRAVO, they have succeeded.... LOL

Leave the fucking banner alone, if you don't like it then don't fucking go near it........ if you don't want to do business with her based on a fucking banner that you don't like, then DO NOT, by all means!!!

I don't like the fucking thing at all, but wouldn't cause me not to do business with them...... I just know to leave my fucking sounds down and not go near that motherfucker!!!

Anyone not wanting to do business with them because of that banner is a complete idiot.

There are WAY worse reasons to not do business with someone, especially in this industry.

My only issues with sound banners are:

1. Use of unlicensed music
2. Ones that continue even after you've moused off of them.

Suggestion: any banners that have obvious "adult" sound effects should consider using a smaller area within the banner that triggers the sound, with some sort of graphical invitation to shove the mouse there. That way the advertiser still has the edge of sound as well as vision in their banner, but there is far less chance of a board member accidentally triggering it.

Yeah, pretty much...... I made the mistake of telling about MY experience with this banner in another thread last night and it was taken as I was a bad mom and I was on the "take down that banner" bandwagon..... LMAO
