    compatability with different browsers??

Most people use either Netscape or Explorer. I use just Internet Explorer and have no idea what my pages look like under netscape (although I imagine fairly similiar because my code is rather basic). Does anybody know of any site or resource or anything that can give you an image of your site through different browsers, or anything of this sort?
    thanks

Why dont you DL netscape and take a look.. Netscape does do some freaky things sometimes even to the simplest code. But if you compare you can usually fix em all..

I found out that the colors are a little bit different between the two. What may look like skyblue on IE will look darker on Netscape.

Definately D/L both browsers and use them. Especially if your an adult webmaster. You have to see how it looks on the two most popular browsers.

I used to be die hard Netscape, but then realized how limited it is when it translates HTML.

Font's look different, files weren't formatted properly for downloading, CSS files didn't work properly in netscape. So I tried IE and everything was fine. With both browsers, I've been able to tweak the code to get the same result with both browsers.

Tables look alittle diffrent between the two sometimes as well..

I like to try all kinds of browsers out. They all have good and bad points to them but defenatly at least have IE and netscape.

I like the Opera browser myself. It is the fastest and most realable I have found. I barley even use netscape much any more.. Another browser that I have found to like is one called WebSurface. http://toolpool.com/.

It has a multiple frame thing going. It crashes occationally for me but it is pretty decent as well.

Anyone else have a favorite non IE,netscape browser that they like?

              Browsers here: http://www.microsoft.com http://www.netscape.com

One thing people should realize is that Internet Explorer does some messed up stuff when it comes to HTML. Like it will fix errors you made in your code.
One huge thing is that netscape 4.7 and below requires you to close table tags.

I've seen some fucked up shit. Like internet explorer will add an extension to a webpage when it wasn't there. so someone saves there file as "file" and IE assumes "file.htm" so the webmaster thinks everything is fine, except to other browser will read the file.

To get colors to look the same, don't use skyblue or lightpurple. use the RGB value, that's the only way to make sure it looks like you want.

This is a great topic, cause I've seen so many sites that don't work in Netscape. Then I email the webmaster and they are like "what? it doesn't work? why?"

and i just smile and laugh.

Nutscrape, was the king until IE4. IE5 cliched it, even the new netscape (6) sucks. I hope people pull their heads out their bowels and use IE. Was are everyone's stats for IE:NS browsers on average?
