Photoshop Gurus.....How can I do this?

Is ther an easier way to create a dotted line then having to erase every other pixel by hand? I can never seem to figure that one out. I know how to stroke a selection, but if I want it to be a dotted line then I have to go in and erase it with a 1 pixel pencil. If anyone wants to help me out that would be cool.

Make a pattern.
Make a 2 pixels high picture (if you don't make it wider than 1 px it will produce 'scanlines')

one line transparent and one with color.

Then 'edit -> define pattern'
When you want to use it, just select 1px wide area you want it on and paint it.

There's other ways, but that was kinda easy to explain

I would use a pattern unless I'm using it for one of my sites. If I'm using it for my site then I'll create a style for it in my CSS. It looks a lot more clean that way.

Those tutorials Tala provided should answer your questions.
