Do some tool bars hijack your affiliate codes?

I just read this in someones sig just now...

"A pay-per-install program that does NOT hijack your affiliate codes!"

So is it right that some do hijack your codes? I have noticed my traffic with sponsors like Nastydollars and others just go 50% to 75% lower counts lately.

When I contact the sponsors on this, it's always, "Everything is working fine and traffic numbers are through the roof and everyone else is selling great but you"

I am just using nastydollars as an example btw.

Anyone have opinions on this affiliate code hijacking?

It's criminal, and in my opinion the sponsor should know something is a miss when my domains are sending my codes one day and then a new code the next.
