Any company that charges a one-time fee for a software like StatsRemote won't be in business for long... unless they charge $1000+ that is.

What do you prefer... pay a monthly fee and get updates all the time... or pay a one-time fee and then the company goes out of business or just stops updating the software and it will be useless shortly?

I track 100+ different affiliates. Without it, I wouldn't know how to study my numbers and make effective decisions month after month.

Stats Remote is an extraordinary tool. I make more money because of Stats Remote since it allows me to tweak sponsors in real time. My only wish would be to be able to create sub-groups so I can manage portions of my network at a glance. Many webmasters have multiple accounts with the same sponsor. Example: hosted gallery group subtotals, search engine group results, etc.

FYI MyStatsArea is run by the same guy that stole everything from us a few months ago. He even used the little yellow guy from AOL as his logo. Verotel suspended his account within 24 hours and he lost his domain due to false whois info, etc...

BTW1... I wouldn't call it cheaper. You pay $12 per month for 130 programs. When you get StatsRemote you pay $30 per month for thousands of programs.

BTW3... If anybody prefers a web-based stats system I would consider using RevStats. At least you can be sure that they don't do anything with your passwords.

Stats Remote is a great program that I've seen on a buddy's computer... However, it didn't work on my PC because of a JS issue that we were unable to fix (their support worked with my for 2 hours plus which is quite commendable). I have however used Revstats since then. I love the web based admin and I have 100% trust in this company with my information.

BTW...I know you want a flat fee, but you should feel more secure knowing that a monthly fee wilkl mean constant updates, etc. You get what you pay for.
