most = 50%+ there's no way more then 25% here make a few $k /month :glugglug |
I dont get the people saying no more than $1500 a month.. thats minimum fucking wage! Hello!
|
Ya know...these threads are such bullshit.
What's the MINIMUM someone should be making? How about $0. That's the minimum. It doesn't get any more minimum than that. As for anyone who puts in 60 hours a week and is NOT running a paysite program or shooting content, well...show me what you do for 10 hours a day, six days a week. Surfing GFY doesn't count. |

and make say $1.5k - $2k what are your chances of making $2.5k or even $4k+/month next year ? exectly NONE ! but you could be making that kind of money and more doing this! :glugglug |

blah blah blah.. someone should be making $0? Thats what you said. I dont think anyone should be making $0 in this industry. Why doesnt surfing GFY count? I've made several thousand $ month just by surfing GFY and getting information and contacts. |

I'm thinkin that's pretty much on the mark... 2-10k is pretty low end....the several 10s of Ks a month and up is the other side... I like a little story you (KRL) mentioned a while back about the old man you had a discussion with in a bar....he wrote 2 checks, one for 100 bucks one for 1m bucks...threw them on the ground and asked you to pick them up and let you know which one was harder to pickup.... that's a very telling story and I know I fucked up the retelling of it, but the message is solid... everyone has the same 24-hours a day... use it or loose it.... |
It is a vague question that deserves the "it depends" answer with a few common sense addons.
Firstly, decide what are your financial needs to survive? Are you 19 living rent free in "Mom's basement"? Do you have three ex wives sucking you dry? Do you have expensive habits and lifestyle? Each person's living expenses vary widely. Next do you want to "just survive" each month? or be able to save/reinvest 10%, or 50% ... of your income? Those two factors change what your minimum needs to be so there is no one size fits all answer. Having said that if you cannot at least meet the "just survive" level each month, get out, or get a loan if you can see light at the end of the tunnel. :) |

my response would be, making a decision to do whatever it takes to move from being a salesperson to a business owner... I know that's an over simplification, but as close as I could muster up a relevant answer in my current state of consciousness ;) night yall...time for me to go night night and dream of whooo-haaas... |

My Mom lives upstairs and my place in the basement has it's own entrance, it's own bathroom with shower AND I have a mini-fridge and microwave. So :321GFY with the "parent's basement" shit, alright? My place is kickass. |
this question gets asked every couple of months. the answer is: there is no answer. or rather, the answer would be the average amount of money a full time webmaster is making - the problem being there are no real stats being produced for this number, therefore no one really knows what it might be.
i'd guess no more than a couple grand a month on average (or possibly much less), but that's pure conjecture. |
