Sponsors who disable your acct due to bad conversions

Which sponsors kill your accounts and don't tell you ( or pay you ) if you send a wack of traffic that doesn't convert from free to paid.

I know of two right now, it's bullshit. If it doesn't convert, then your members area sucks.

If it doesn't convert, either your traffic sucks or the site sucks. Not the member area.

If you can't convert then they are doing you a favor.

Plus all the BW they will save by doing so.

Have'nt heard of any sponsors like that myself.

I never heard of this happening. But I guess in extreme cases they have the right to do so. You also have to realize that freeloaders are everywhere these days.

that's not necessarily true
sometimes how the traffic is sent and where it is sent from can alter the worth of the traffic. If your traffic sin't worth $35 per signup, then why would they want your traffic? They aren't in this business to be an affiliate charity, they are in it to make money.

You can't blame the members area all the time. A great deal of people see FREE and that is ALL they are looking for. You could give them everything under the sun in the members area but they will NOT pay because they are just looking for free stuff.

I have also seen a few sites that actually seem to go out of their way trying to get surfers to cancel.
Example of wording:
"Backdoor into all the pay sites. That's right, sign up to these sites for FREE, you got it, you don't pay ONE CENT. All you have to do is cancel your trial membership within the trial period and it will not cost you ONE CENT. Why bother paying a monthly membership fee when you can keep coming back here to sign up to to all the different sites. We are here to make sure you get all the FREE PORN you want without ever paying for it. These FREE trial memberships give you complete, unrestricted access to the sites. If you want more time on the site, simply cancel and then sign up here again for another free trial rather than paying the monthly membership fee."

Websites like that try and convince the surfer to keep cancelling and signing up, hence the webmaster keeps getting these individuals to sign up for trial periods, never converting...their profits rise, the paysites profits fall. I don't blame the sponsors for cancelling accounts that seem to have an unusually low percentage of people who cancel within the trial period. Webmasters seem to forget sometimes that a sponsor HAS to make money in order to stay in business...but frankly, many don't care...they get what they can get...then move on to another sponsor.

Epiccash closed down my account silently. Apperently the traffic that got sent to their FHGs made 2 signups and 2 chargebacks or something like that before they closed it.

I dont have a problem with them not wanting my traffic, I dont wanna send it to where it doesn't convert either.

But they could have mailed and told me about it. And not taking X weeks to answer my ICQ messages after repeative questions why my account was dead. Only time it ever happened to me and I send traffic to quite a bunch of sponsors.

If you think it's solely the responsibility of the members area to convert all and any traffic, then you my friend are naive.

Surfers are wising up, and know how to get what they want for free, or very little at least.

There's a trade-off

If you spam or commit fraud you are most likely to be shutdown, but bad conversions? I have heard of a couple of programs changing the program on you! but not closing the account?

I really have nothing to hide with my stats, so your threat is kind of misdirected. On a general note I do want my personal stats/info private to the ones it concerns though.

Obviosly the small amount of FHG traffic I sent didn't work out and Im not objecting to epiccash not wanting my traffic. I dont want to send it to where it results in $0 for me either.

I think I deserved a mail about it though so I could have pulled my links. Bit insulting just being closed down without any notice at all, I think you would have felt the same way.
