My unique says 140:272 hits...
According to my counter stats from "thecounter.com". So it's 513:1000 I guess. My question is... what defines a unique? Is it due to cookies disabled/Java? I read somewhere something about 24-48 hours... does that mean visits? PLEASE any info would be cool! thanks

Unique is the first click to a sponsor banner/site from one of yours. So if you had asy 12 sites ans the same guy clicked the same banner on all 12, it would be 12 uniques. Same as if a dialup IP is changed and the same guy clicks a second time (after redialing) it would be a unique as well. Some set cookies to count them tho so that cancels the IP counting.

Another problem are proxies. A lot of people are using them (especially AOL) so they all have the same IP address. It means that you probably have more uniques than counter says.
