just installed Mozilla Firefox!!!

and believe me: it sucks..

Basicly it lacks support for certain
css components so most sites look like shit. (yes.. i know that because of MS'
browser implementation against the guidelines but do i care ? no?)

This is unbelievable.... wait till you
see how the GFY tables build up..
its fucking aweful.

let me make a screenshot of what im seeing now for example.. ill post it in a few.

Fucking back to the 90's..

Most sites certainly do not look like shit, either you look at a subset of sites whose owners don't know compliant css or there's something wrong with the build you're using. Tables and textareas both look fine for me on Slackware 9.1 and Firefox 0.8 milestone build.

This whole M$ centric thing really bums me out, the only way things can really move forward is if everyone builds to a common standard.

They can't use the "firebird" name anymore so they changed it. It's still the same browser though.

People bitch about IE not being secure. I have never had any problems with it since my security settings prohibit most things that people bitch about. If webmasters weren't such newbies and would just set their security settings appropriately, there would be no need at all for Firefox.

If webmasters werent such a newbies they would make websites based on standards, not choose the easy way and make it only work with ie by using crippled html code.

I really dislike Microsoft and use as less as possible from them. The only thing i have 1 windows install left is for playing 'Live for speed'.

IE

Since you don't want it, I'll take all your non IE traffic???? How about it??

I've been using Firefox for a couple days now.. and I've had more "problems" with it than Opera. But the testing continues.

Anyone that's been working on the internet for more than a couple years knows that the "best" browser changes with each version. Back before MicroCrap included IE with Windows, Netscape would be the best, then IE would be better, then back to netscape etc. My stats say pretty clearly that IE has been losing market share over the last 6+ months. The writing is on the wall. Someone like Norton or McKafee bundles one of the browsers with their virus scanner/firewall etc. and the landscape will change very quickly.

Armed, just because you have remained virus & adware free, doesn't mean that you will continue to be so lucky.

Even the government has come forward to warn internet users that Microsoft has holes which have no fixes. Eventually, you and everyone will find yourself in a world of hurt.

I'm glad to hear others are turning away from Microsoft. We need competition. We need to feel secure. I have every control imaginable set on my computer, and still, the hackers attack.

It will only get worse. DOWN WITH IE !!!!

I've been using Mozilla (and now Firefox) forever. Upgrading with each incremental upgrade : ) No problems at all. My banking has to be done on IE because they require IE and 128 bit encryption. That's the only thing I use IE for and I'm the happier for it. No, zero, zilch security concerns. And none of this bullshit about "if it gets popular the virus writers will blah blah blah" At this moment in time only the dumbest fuck would use IE. It's insecure and a ticking time bomb with your computer in the path of destruction.
