Don't pay attention to whatever price it gives before you sign up. When you make an account, they send you promo codes at least once a week and usually more. I just transferred a bunch of domains last night for $6 each.

There is a place on the main page of your account that says "promotional codes" or something like that. When you enter the codes there it will tell you how long the deal is good for and update your main account page to show what your current costs are for each service.

The codes are on the promo emails they send. A lot of times it will say it's only good for 24 hours or 3 days, etc. Even if it's past the deadline, go ahead and put the code in on your main account page. It always takes it on mine, even if it's expired. Or just come here and ask who has some registerfly promo codes. They're always generic stuff like FLYPROMO6 so I'm sure they'll work for everyone. If you need some for right now, I can post my latest ones.

I've used GoDaddy and DirectNic, now I use Registerfly and I'm finally happy. And you can get privacy protection for only $1

What per month? Privacy protection? Domain forwarding is free. About reliability, I can only tell you I have never had any problems with them. They also have 24/7 live support via a chatbox.

The reason I left GoDaddy was because of the stories people suddenly lost some domains and because of the stupid ads on all the pages. No ads with Registerfly
Normally renewal is 9,95 but like Holly said, you recieve promo codes every week, last promo was $7,95 for a domain, $7,95 for renewal and $6 for a transfer (that includes one additional year registration).

ok, sorry, but one more question if you don't mind - can you give me an example how the protected WHOIS looks like for a domain registered with them?

This is how it looks with GoDaddy:

Registrant:
Domains by Proxy, Inc.
15111 N Hayden Rd., Suite 160
PMB353
Scottsdale, Arizona 85260
United States

Registered through: GoDaddy.com
Domain Name: SEXYGIRLS.COM

Expires on: 26-Mar-06
Last Updated on: 30-Jul-03

any major differences between that and Registerflies protected whois?

and sorry Reak for hijacking your thread

Here are the latest promo codes:

$7.99 domain reg - FLY691GJV32T
$7.99 domain renewal - N1j32FLY1RENW
$6.00 domain transfers - FLY691GJV32T

The .99 cent whois privacy deal is back on for the whole month of July. You don't need a code for that.

I have never paid more than 7.99 for a domain registration there. There's almost always a promo going on. Always check this site before you pay:

http://theflypaper.com/

It's usually the same deals they send you in the mail.

They also take paypal.

The email didn't show up because it was a graphic on the whois, but it's like this: [email protected]

Of course, all the xs are the random number you're assigned for that domain.

Thanks...the only thing i dont like is that they filter the email correspondence. So perhaps some valid correspondence ( like a purchase offer for an adult domain ) may be filtered. :-/
I will send an email to the adress listed for smutblaster.com and please let me know if you received it.

And i will buy you a beer when you come to Poland, because i wasted 4 minutes of your time :D

No, no - you're right.

Sorry about that to anyone who was already trying to use it. I was copying and pasting and I must have gotten mixed up and copied the domain reg code twice. Mine says FLY6PROMO in my email, too. Thanks for catching that. I didn't even notice.

I have never paid more than 7.99 for a domain registration there. There's almost always a promo going on. Always check this site before you pay:

http://theflypaper.com/

It's usually the same deals they send you in the mail.

They also take paypal.
Thank you Holly for looking this up for us!

You can get new registrations for 8 $ I think with the email . They charge 1 buck a year or privacy

Ugh ? How can a registrar do that ???

from their website:

*We generate a unique SpamFly e-mail address for you that appears on all contacts within the Whois Output
*We "scrub" and filter all e-mails sent to this unique e-mail address
*After it "passes" the scrub we forward the message to the e-mail address you specify.
*Only e-mails that pass the scrub are sent to you

I sent two test emails to the guys who posted in this thread and agreeded to that and they didnt reply so far.... so seems like my emails were "Scrubbed".

I am happy with www.WEB.com
They are really cheap (domains for $6.95) and I never have any problems with them
