Something that would automate making neat shaped cells with beveled, rounded edges etc would be nice. So we could fit thumbs in around it easily. We know it can be done somehow but certainly not easily or with FP etc. http://www.niceporngall.com/a28/0311403.html is an example
 An online generator that we could sketch in and have it make the shapes.Probably be too hard to do tho. |

Try Thumnailer ver 6.4 and use the the plugins available for it. They have several that will create edges and drop shadow effects. You can also use Image Fade in the Advanced settings to create quick edge effects. It even allows you to use your own fade effect that can be created in photoshop. http://www.smalleranimals.com is where the plugins and the program can be gotten. Hey thanks JT, Tanker! We have been going to look at the thumbnailer progs again but the last time we looked they were't worth bothering with. Still have to upgr to 6.0 Photoshop too. 5.5 is great but limited in thumbs.
We just need simple to use since time is so limited for the long learning curve ya get once 40 goes by. lol BUT, the hubby has another idea that he always liked. A slideshow that changes daily or even hourly. Say with 10-12 pics in each 'show'and able to be tucked in to a menu side frame or elsewhere. More than the simple ani gif. He thinks the movement would be a great attention getter and when clicked, it would pop a new gallery page with a signup under it. Give them another taste of the pics as the last hook. Another cool thing about Thumnailer is that you can create templates of pages, with all the banners and links and everything you want on your pages and then Thumnailer generates the table and thumbnails and uses your template. Save the Template and you only have to design the page once. |

Hmm sounds great JT. Howie has been making templates by hand to swap the tables that photoshop generates to. We'll really have to try that one out. We looked a couple of years ago at thumbers but they were junk or too complicated to bother with

Make hotlinkpics.com more powerful... what would be REALLY cool is this:
Make a form w/ all the AP pic ads (the hottest girls) -- allow the webmaster to use checkboxes to check all the pics that he likes the best -- then spit out a cgi code that we can use like this... that cgi would rotate the pics that we checked in the form... the reason hotlinkpics.com sucks now is that the pics rotate w/o our control -- every time you guys rotate the hotlink pics I have to go to hotlinkpics.com and find the best pic for my site and change my HTML... when new pics came out we could get an email notice or something -- so we could check off more girls into the rotation... Also I would do experiments to see what pic rotations result in the most clickthroughs... I think that pic rotations DO work (I rotate my AP banner pics every 10 minutes). Anyway hotlinkpics is a great service -- but if I had a little more control over which pics I was hotlinking -- I'd probably use it more... The actual cgi code would be easy to write -- especially if the cgi code worked like this... rotate.cgi?ID=xxx&(all the ID's of the pics that we want rotated) then you wouldn't have to build a database for each webmaster's selections -- damn it would be easy -- I can see the only problem for you would be the CPU usage, but I think it would only be a few lines of code anyway... I think this would make everyone more money... ------------------ -- thefly.net |

how about a program that clicks your AP button, and generates credit card numbers to get tracks, if you make a program like this, i'll switch to partnership...

michael, i agree with thefly on a few points, but the main reason i like hotlinkpics.com is because i don't have to fuck with it. the only thing i would like improved is maybe choosing hotter pics. the hottest chicks get the most clicks, so it's obviously a win-win situation if you improve that. the fly has some good ideas, but i would like hotlinkpics.com to retain its automation if you do decide to change it at all. perhaps just add more options for the webmasters who want more options. i think thefly just wants hotter chicks, and you can solve that by just picking hotter chicks yourself. or maybe have a vote form here on gofuckyourself.com for the next chick in rotation... that would pretty much ensure that the next chick is hot. sorry if you just said that thefly, i can't read your post while i'm typing in here to check... but that is something similar to what you wanted, right? as for new programs, the galleries kick ass. my galleries were just random banners for the longest time because i was a lazy ass and didn't want to set up AP galleries. do automated asian galleries for sure. also, you could do a gallery for every girl you have. do one for every girl that comes out. then we just pick the chicks we think are the hottest (right fly?!) and point our links to them. Mike and everyone else: This may be dumb, and maybe AP wouldn't want to give up the bandwidth, but is their a chance to program in so that a random banner pops-up? Right now, I have downloaded a few banners and I have javascript programmed to make them random each time. Wouldn't it be nice if AP did this, so that whenever a new girl came out (new banner), AP could add this into the mix of rotation (maybe even give it more weight - since people will click on the new one a lot more) automatically, so we need not download it ourselves? Maybe even have 3 codes: all nude, all non-nude, or all banners. Or maybe it's best if somehow AP made it really easy to download all banners in one big ZIP file and have them named like ap01, ap02, ap03 etc to make the programmer's lives easier, and then AP could tell us via email when new banners came out... I realize the problem when .gifs and .jpgs mix in, so maybe seperate the ZIP files into groups of all jpgs and of all gifs. for those of us who want animation slowing down our webpages (i cant believe todays fast machines cannot scroll a webpage smoothly with an anim gif on the screen), and for those of us who dont like the flashy stuff. How about a tool which automaticly contact
people on ICQ and ask for a trade, then have a conversation and add the site to the script, add some perms if needed, and automaticly modifies the unproductive trades? ------------------ Life's a bitch |

It has a banner and pics that rotate weekly, but maybe the guys could set the banner(s) to rotate more often, but it is a nice BW free way to keep fresh content rotating on your site. ------------------  GFY RULES! |

but I already knew about hotlinkpics. They are just for the large pictures, though, right? Or have I been misled? What I meant by banners is the 468x60 banners that lots of people use without taking up 3/4ths of your page (I like to exaggerate unnecessarily). But you brought up a good point - if they are already doing hotlinkpics, couldn't they do the same with banners, since they are actually smaller in size, and thus would take up less bandwidth? (but then again, if everyone and his god used it, the bandwidth bill would go thru the roof)What do you think, guys? Would be nice if there was more than one choice for this type of banner, though. Maybe that's why I missed it. I have no idea. I am impatient, I guess.
Like I said in my original post, it would be nice to have a banner link code to: 1. non-nude only 2. nude only 3. mixture 4,5,6. the same 3 above without including banners that just have text on it and no girlie pic am I crazy, or does this make sense? ------------------ Juge - webmaster of:

I dont know if you aready have this but what about a script and banners combined so all I have to is load say 6 banners pics and the script changes them for me say ever 15 min??

and if you guys are alright with giving up bandwidth... make all your pics hotlinkable (the ones we can download and make galleries with). this allows us to design our own galleries and have them look unique. also, make the names easy to access with programming... like 01, 02, 03, etc. with the chick's name in there somewhere... this will make it easy for me to create galleries of different chicks all with the same cgi script.
