Spiderman 2!!!

Friggin' awesome no-end. Beyond excellent. Best fun at the movies I've had since Jurassic Park. Best acting I've seen in years.

Bring the girlfriend/wife because it shows em' why us guys are the way we are.

It would have been better. If their was more action with Dr. Octopus and Spiderman! I hope the 3rd one is better.

Great movie...strong-story and subplot, great dialogue, great action sequences, great acting, tons of drama, and a bit of romance for the ladies. Great setup for Spider-man 3 aswell. Not just your run of the mill action super hero flick, so I wouldn't be surprise if some find it disappointing...but I sure as hell didn't. 4 stars!!!

A Freakin' Men!!!

You KNOW a movie is good when you walk down the street and people you know bolt up and ask if you've seen it and you spend half an hour jumping up and down and high-fiving one another about it!

It ain't a 'sock em rock em' movie. It's got some VICIOUS fight scenes between Doc Ock and Spidey I wouldn't let anyone under 12 watch, but it's got drama, romance, comedy.... I would watch it without the superhero stuff. The acting is that good! If it was just the main characters just TALKING I would pay good money to see it.

It's about quality and this movie delivers quality.

Larry you'll be doing yourself a big favor by just going and enjoying it. If you're a die-hard Spidey fan it's like a breath of fresh air.

So many things get covered in the movie that it sets things up for the next several movies. It is going to be agony to wait til 2007 for the next one. I wish they'd do the next one in 2006 but I figure I can wait with Star Wars III coming out next year.

It's just going to be TORTURE waiting for the next Spidey.

Boxofficemojo.com estimates Spidey 2 made $38 million in ONE FUCKING DAY! That's the biggest opening for a movie on a Wednesday ever!

If it made this much on a Wednesday, just think how much it will make over the weekend!!

At first they said it would make $90 million over the weekend but with numbers like this it should pull in $150 million over the weekend. If it does numbers like that then you can rest assured Spidey and other Marvel heroes are here to stay.

Yes it is a 'Chick Flick' too! Best date movie in years! I got me 4 dates coming and I'm taking em' all to see Spidey.

Although Carnage and Venom are popular modern day villains, I still would rather see Spidey's old time villains pop up like 'Rhino' and 'Scorpion' and 'The Lizard', 'The Vulture' etc.

Carnage and Venom were the result of the 'Secret Wars' symbiot suit.

I hope they pile on the villains for the next movie. Not one but several under the control of the Hobgoblin.

Hopefully even toss in some other superheroes and maybe even a Daredevil cameo.

This flick made $40+ million on a Wednesday. It looks like it may bring in $150+ million by weekend's end. That'd break every record known to mankind.

It cost $200 million to make the movie so it could reach 'Titanic' proportions when all is said and done. I know I for one will go see it another 4 or 5 times as it's a rockin' chick-date flick.

I didn't think it was that great. Seemed a bit predictable and too drawn out on some aspects, but maybe that's just me. I never read any of the comics and I'm not much a fan for action type movies. I did think the 1st one was much better...

Spiderman-2, just saw it this afternoon..........very good movie......better than the first as they spent more time on the internal dynamics of the characters. Best movie of the year so far easily for me as I was very entertained and found some parts even touching, which I didn't expect. Its no ROTK however but then again, what is?

I have yet to see a brilliant movie released this year but its unfair to compare Spidey to that. Spidey 2 is just a whole lot of fun, so go! A pleasant surprise........high quality.........very good. But come on Greg.......it won't be posting Titanic numbers. Anyone who's studied box office receipts over the years knows this. That did $600 Million domestic and more importantly, $1.8 BILLION worldwide. The closest to that even is ROTK, which did $1.18 Billion.

Spiderman is more akin to Star Wars. Its more popular here in N. America than it is the rest of the world:

Spider-Man's Box Office:

Domestic: $403,706,375 49.1%
+ Overseas: $418,002,176 50.9%

That ratio, ideally, for a true universal blockbuster, should be more like Domestic 34% and Overseas 66%.

But once again, I don't want to take anything away from SM2; go see this movie! It was really very good.

Thank you Sam Raimi.

Just got in from seeing Spiderman 2

Pros:

Better CGI than the first
Better action scenes

Cons:

longer than expected
lacking in the story

I went there for the action, and I got a real good dose of it. Mission accomplished.

The next one shouldnt be as good though. Green Goblin and the Lizard are pussies.

Well, I saw the movie today in Argentina.

The theater was full of dumb kids and the movie was in spanish (I hate dubbed movies)..
The movie was very good, even bether than the first one, but it was a little depressing (in the first half of the movie). It was predictable too, but I kinda enjoyed it anyway.

The CGI looks fake at the beginning, but when you feel the story you enjoy it and donīt care about F/X (Matrix Reloaded anyone?).

There are a few cameos on the movie. Bruce Campbell & Ted Raimi (both from the Evil Dead Trilogy) appears in the screen and I think Stan Lee was also in it, but I canīt be sure.

Spider-man 2 its the blockbuster movie of this season, go to see it

The Black Cat???

Nawww.... THE BLACK WIDOW!!!

Now THAT was a babe of a superheroine!

Spidey had some hottie chicks after him. Whoever plays Black Cat or Black Widow will be shot to fame so high they'll have to put airbags on Hollywood Blvd.

These Marvel movies are great vehicles for stars. If I was a Hollywood agent I would try my best to get my clients into a Marvel Movie.

They fucked up the Hulk and Punisher by changing too much. They don't get it. If you leave the story alone that 40 years of comics and fans find successful, why do you change it????

It's sooooo easy to make half a billion from a Marvel movie IF you appeal to the fans that are already loyal and ready to spend the cash.

Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Thor, Capt. America, Fantastic Four... All these movies could be equally as popular as Spidey and X Men IF they just follow the fucking story for goodness sakes.

They should re-do the Hulk. Let someone write a script and direct it based on the book without all the psychodrama bullshit.
