Ever try Heart of Palm?
The other day I bought Heart of Palm at Costco because my friend was always telling me how great it is. It's actually the inside parts of the top 3 feet of certain palm trees. They pickle it and then you eat it stand alone or chopped up in a salad.
I haven't quite decided whether or not I like it. It's very strange, can't even begin to describe what it tastes like. Maybe after a few more the taste will grow on me. It better, I have 2 jars of the stuff!

Chop some tomatoes, get some Romaine lettuce, a handful of sliced black olives and make a salad with them, it's excellent with a nice vinegraitte

Goes good with salad, olives, tomatoes? Italian antipasto type things?
